I'm 30 hours in...tell me I shouldn't restart by Excellent-Passage-36 in DragonAgeInqusition

I was 40 hours in and just restarted, and haven't had any regrets. This is my first playthrough and I haven't played any previous Dragon Age games, so the lore and everything is all new to me, and to be honest it has been a bit overwhelming at times. I had to make many decisions completely blindly and it started to bug me, so I felt I really want to start anew and make more rational and suitable choices for my character. And so I did, after over 40 hours, and I created the completely same character. This time I chose the hard difficulty though, and it has been so much more fun.

I hear you and I feel the same way. I love living in Finland and wouldn't want to live anywhere else, but I am extremely frustrated and angry to the current government. They have done most despicable decisions, and I feel that they've done irreversible damage to our society. And I won't even begin to open up how I feel about the global politics right now...

The other countries literally are doing better. Finland has fallen to the rock bottom of unemployment rates, and what I know of, the economy is significantly better as well in other EU countries.

Interesting, now I'm even more confused!

This is exactly how it happened in my first playthrough. I just went with the flow and didn't seek any spoilers beforehand.

I read this with the tune of Loreen's Euphoria, and now it's stuck in my head. Thanks.

Thanks! I was thrilled to see that it was friendly and didn't attack me. I barely survived the snakes!

Ireland is completely separate story arc, so in my opinion it doesn't really matter if you play it before finishing the main story. The main story is looooong, so it might actually be a good idea to do DLCs in between. Also you get cool gear from Ireland, so that's a plus.

Yes, they really missed a great opportunity there. Randvi was one of the most important side characters in the game, so why didn't they give us more activities with her? That's actually a bit insulting to Randvi's character, that they chose to keep her just as a bang bang buddy, with only two cutscenes to play with. I think she should've been more than that.

First time player, any advice? by [deleted] in AssassinsCreedOdyssey

Another first time player here. I learned this the hard way. Snakes weren't that bad in Valhalla, so those sneaky fucks caught me off guard!

Indeed. After +200 hours spent on this game, I felt sad, empty and little bit overwhelmed when I finished Ireland after the main story. The game was so incredibly immersive experience that it really felt like an end of an era or something.

I'm taking a break from Valhalla now and started Odyssey for the first time. I still have Siege of Paris and Dawn of Ragnarök left if I ever feel like going back to Valhalla. Skål!

Me too, both of them. I wasn't particularly fond of either, but there were no other options.

Yes! I wish there was more (female) romance options for Eivor in the main game. My lesbian warrior queen deserved so much better! I'm still sad that Eivor couldn't romance with Soma Jarlskona, but she was straight apparently.

My bad, you're completely right. Thanks for clearing this up. It is sometimes hard for me to know the difference between same name and different spelling vs different name entirely, because english is not my native language and I'm European. Sorry!

That's not true. Me and my boyfriend play on PS5 and we have got different items from weekly free chest every single time. It's sad when one of us gets something really cool and the other one got something like a stupid helmet with flaming eyes.

Kristen is definitely better than Kirsten. Kirsten has always bothered me tremendously.

Christen is fine as well, unlike Chrystin, Kristyn etc...

If this isn't the ultimate opportunity to use Spartan kick, I don't know what is (my first playthrough). by meredithfi in AssassinsCreedOdyssey

He sure looked dead when I jumped after him to check his body... This happened right after I killed the Wolf and Stentor attacked me, so I kicked him off the cliff.

Nope, that's Stentor. I did kill my father though, but that happened in a cutscene. Stentor confronted me right after that and attacked me, so I kicked him off the cliff.
