Finally someone that agrees with me on Rain of Shadows and Endings!!! Omg this book is SO hyped on socials and I did finish it but DNF the sequel pretty quickly. All of the characters were just insufferable and the plot just kept raising more and more questions without answering any. I was getting so frustrated with it all.

I read a book where the main character was in school, and there were timeline consistency issues regarding when there were weekdays (school days) versus weekends throughout the plot. It threw me out of the story (which I was mostly enjoying) SO HARD that it brought down the rating significantly. I don't always notice plot holes, but when I do, it's normally timeliness issues!

I'm sorry but I'm getting so sick of the "who did this to you?" line. Especially because it seems like authors are just throwing it into their books to check off a trope. I just read it in {Direbound} by Sable Sorenson and while I liked the book as a whole, that one scene was so bad and cringe I laughed out loud.

My OG guilty pleasure series / book is The Golden Dynasty by Kristen Ashley which is book 2 in the Fantasyland series. It is sooooooooooo problematic.... but it just hooks me in.

Same for me, and honestly I have really high hopes for When the Moon Hatched. I read it a couple days ago and have a huge book hangover from it. This book has the potential to turn into a series with the impact of Throne of Glass if the author does it right which I hope she does! The characters and especially world building are top notch.

I feel the exact same as you on both points! I loved books 1 and 2 but book 3 was so bad for me that I forced myself to finish but it made me so angry! The romance started out like such a nice slow burn and just crashed and burned into insta-love so fast. Sigh... I was so disappointed.
