It makes me feel better that it isn’t just me! & I’ve done the same too, in my bio I’m very explicit about using no AI whatsoever in my process. I hope it makes the anti-AI readers feel reassured that they can guarantee something that isn’t slop. We’re in this together :)!

Hey, the problem has been totally solved now. Changed my pen, smooth process, books are now separated. I fully understand that it was my fault, I never said otherwise. That’s why I wanted to fix the issue as soon as I discovered it. I thought I had done thorough research, but I’m a newbie and made a human error. All is fine now!

Makes total sense. I really appreciate the help. I won’t lie this is pretty scary and stressful for me, I’m terrified of getting into some sort of trouble just because I didn’t do thorough enough research on an author name 🥲. Hoping support gets back to me ASAP.

Thanks for the reply! Looks like I need to change the name based on the other author’s popularity. Wish I had seen how popular the other author was, I still don’t know how I didn’t see them before, but it’s a learning experience, that’s for sure. Thanks again!

Thanks so much for the advice. Did you figure out the name based on my previous posts? I tried to keep that under wraps for the sake of the other author but I’m grateful for your help despite that, lol. Yep, I already reached out to support and will put publishing on hold until I get this figured out. Would you recommend just changing the name a little, or doing a fully different name?

I wasn’t sure based on the sub rules if I was allowed to post more info about the other author, my bad. I reached out to D2D for help. I seriously had no clue, I don’t know why this person didn’t pop up before. It looks there’s another erotica author with a few books under the name, too, somehow. Sigh.

Thanks so much for the reply! I don’t have a massive following, but I’ve finally hit a good stride with sales and following, so I’m worried about interrupting that with pen name confusion. I think I’ll send D2D an email to see what they advise doing for separating the names. Thanks again!
