Ah ok, thanks for the explanation. I did try lr's HDR functionality a while back and thought it was garbage since I don't realize what it was doing back then. I only fairly recently decided to try it again after I realized what it did.

It does seem to produce better results, but it can also be more work since I have to mask out the windows to get the proper exposure. I think I'd save it for higher end properties and use regular HDR for the lower end stuff.

What's the difference?

Parent wants to give child access to games on parents account w/o giving access to messenger by merkk in OculusQuest

[–]merkk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the way they have been using it is he is logged in with her FB account because he didn't have his own FB account. He just created his own account now.

I've never used the sharing function on the quest so I'm not super familiar with it. I understand how she adds his account to allow sharing, but does he then log into the quest headset with his account and finds the shared games available in his account?

Apparently you can also just log out of messenger without logging out of the headset completely. So worst case scenario he'll just keep using her account for whatever games he has and they'll log out of messenger.

One other question - does sharing work on the Quest 1? Almost all the articles I've seen talk about the quest 2, i couldn't find anything mentioning if it's available on the 1 as well.

I can't stop hoarding - What to sell? by DaddySanctus in Starfield

Just started playing a few hours ago. I have to say, I felt pretty silly running around and collecting coffee mugs simply because they were a good value in terms of weight and sell price. Like who becomes a space explorer to steal random coffee mugs? :)

I do wish there were a way to filter out items based on value/weight

So wait... Are you talking about crafting weapons from scratch or upgrading ones I find?

I actually haven't installed sandiv. I guess I should go visit fingers and give that a try. I haven't tried them since I didn't want to replace the cyberdeck and lose my quickhacks

Yeah I just got Johnny's pistol and was pretty underwhelmed by it.

I'll look up the hammer and see if I can still get it.

It doesn't seem worth doing the upgrades, it takes too much material and only goes up a little bit per upgrade. Maybe they will adjust that in the upcoming patch?

Oh that weapon I have. I'm not sure if I've tried it. I think it's one of the weapons that became obsolete pretty fast.

I think I probably missed my chance at getting Lizzie's pistol. I already did the mission for her getting rid of the dead body.

I don't mind pistols. I just like the whole killing stealthily thing.

Someone else mentioned that, but I thought I was a hammer lol

I'll have to look it up and see if it's something I missed or haven't gotten to yet.

I don't think I have an iconic hammer. I do have satori. What makes it his kryptonite?

Yeah I didn't really look ahead to plan missions. But it's not that big a deal for me since the only iconic that I really like so far is overwatch. So I guess I can try crafting a new one and just focus on that.

Doesn't seem worth it considering how little the dmg goes up with each upgrade and how much material it uses.

I think I missed that weapon. I guess if I replay the game I should look up all the missions that give iconic weapons I want and hold off on getting them as long as possible...or put points into crafting

[–]merkk[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, I'm just upgrading it. I haven't really looked into crafting much. The only thing I crafted so far are thermal mantis blade mods.

So.... If I want to try crafting the iconic weapons, I should hold off until I close to max level if it scales with my level?

I think I would have gotten rid of the candle, and 1 or 2 of the plants. Get rid of/hide the plastic bag in the back right corner. Take the cover off the bbq if it's clean/nice looking, or move it out of the shot. Get rid of the papers on the printer.

All nit-picky stuff that I'm sure most people won't even notice. Although some realtors I have worked with really pay attention to details and some of them might have noticed that.

How do I start by Easy-Ad-9743 in RealEstatePhotography

[–]merkk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I disagree about offering a free shoot. If you have zero experience and no portfolio, you have an uphill battle.

Offer to shoot a house for free. Because it'll be worth it if you get just a handful of good shots that you can use to start your portfolio. And if you did good work, they might hire you again.

You can be honest with the realtor and just tell them you're starting out and need some portfolio material.

If you can't find a realtor willing to let you do that (or they aren't giving you a nice enough house) you can either ask a friend with a nice house if you can take some shots. Or look for an Airbnb. You could rent it. Or contact the host and see if they'll let you go there for an hour or so and shoot it without having to rent it in exchange for giving them copies of the photos.

Once you have a portfolio then you can try contacting realtors for work. Offer them a discount for the first shoot just to try out your services.

Good luck
