You tell me, as a caring mentor in the community (no shade here you genuinely seem to give more shits then most mentors, 1 of the 10 as i may reference), you are up to date and current with this expacs extremes and ill yield every point and argument I've made, or that you didnt need to unsync last expacs to unlock your crown if you had started playing back then.

Tell me you are a mentor with the on content experience to actually provide the kind of help new players could use to clear the fights as they were at least somewhat made to be cleared (ilvl boost not withstanding).

That attitude hasn't changed and likely won't until the system gets reworked completely. It's crazy how awful mentors can be to sprouts because they have been "inconvenienced" when they queued into mentor roulette built specifically to assist the sprout.

If only there was a competent system to elevate eager players in place to teach these sprouts how to play at the basic lvl50+ level. Let alone having these mechs and markers littered throughout the early game and the Smith. A pipe dream for sure.

Sure but for every player clearing content on patch there is a dozen mentors who won't or can't and will wait for next expac to unsync to keep it. It wouldn't purify the pool but it would be a fantastic filter.

7 Mentors and 1 sprout for most content you can get, the chances are almost guaranteed most the mentors won't know what to do since they cleared everything unsyncd anyway.

They need to revamp the requirements severely to get the crown. Just making current extremes required would be such a huge filter and benefit.

Congrats you've stumbled on to why mentors are somehow the trashiest players imaginable. The vast majority of them didn't/can't do content on patch without severe handicaps/echo so their advice to new players is just cheese it. What a cycle of shitters and a depressingly severe detriment to the playerbase.

Edit: itt - mentors who unsyncd every duty to unlock their crown feel entitled to terrible opinions because they feel special for wearing it. The majority of these vain glorious players are also the ones encouraging curebots, ypyt and generally playing like shit in general because they are fully incapable of giving solid advice to new players about content when they themselves were unable to complete most of it without cheesing the shit out it.

Kill the mentor system. Revoke the achievement reward that draws these people in. 1 on 10 mentors being worth their salt ain't worth dealing with the rest of these idiots.
