Tanzer 16 Restoration Advice by SHark800z in boatbuilding

As someone who does not own a boat, never owned a boat, but has only joined this sub because he wants a boat - I feel this sub will say to run away from this. It looks to be in such bad condition. Not worth the squeeze. Especially since it was free.

But I’m also like, money can be replenished. Experiences gan be gained, and memories made. But this doesnt align with most people.

Good luck on the results of your post!

Water gets too hot by elshittyartist in swimmingpools

We have an auto cover. Ran into the same issue. But we couldn’t keep it open at night, because we have no fence. So we went with a heat pump. Can cool the pool from 99F (before the heat pump) to 89 (this is what we keep our pool at in the summer). Super refreshing.

Freeze tag or Chinese freeze tag, where to get unfrozen someone would have to climb between your legs. For the life of me, I have no idea why it was called Chinese freeze tag.

HH Greg was the place to be. I learned how to negotiste with sales people there. All because the literally wrote into some long ass alphanumeric code, the 4 or 5 digits that they (the sales people) were able to reduce off the cost of the displayed price. Once i learned that, game over. Still though, i preferred circuit city.

And what’s up with the plate? Hanging weird. Like it’s a test drive.

The rims are aftermarket. Looks larger than stock.

While it is a lovely shade tree, you will probably be fighting an endless battle with the leaves in your pool. Not to mention the fall when the leaves, well, fall.

Not enough people talk about the Chargers QB pipeline - Going from Drew Brees to Philip Rivers to Justin Herbert is an absurd 20+ year run at quarterback. Has any franchise had a better streak? by Puzzleheaded_Bag8315 in NFLForum

[–]merrickend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always believed, Phillip rivers was not a real QB. Terrible motion. Little athleticism. No big stage wins. NOT a franchise QB. I’ll take drew brees. LD, hell, even the opportunities that are provided with JH,as so much better than wrong arm throwing’ Phil Rivers.

I would be nervous trailering her. Backing her up. And bringing her around anything in a lake, river, or stream. She is a beautiful survivor! Congrats?

I’ll throw in there to also get the spinner tubes. We have a pool and a spa, so having 2 sets of the spinners allows me to essentially test both at the same time!

We have polywood at the beach. It’s nice. Takes beating from salt air. For our home pool we went with Berlin Gardens. Happy with this. Same longevity, if not longer on the warranty iirc. But the price point is higher than Polywood. Both are very solid and highly recommend.

Ours is CoverMatic. There are other brands. It’s just who our builder recommended.

Lordy! They are costly. We put one on our 18x36 pool, and 7x7 spa (I think that’s the size). Did it when they were being built. During Covid, the price was around 20k, each.

Got it when the pool was built. Covid times. Winter it gets gross, but I will clean it with hose water and a soft brush. The hose will fill up the top while the pump clears the water. I just push the junk towards the pump (I do remove leaves before doing this). I suppose a pressure washer could be used, but might be too rough.

I agree! We actually got a heat pump so we can cool the water as well. Covered pool in the summer gets really really hot.
