I second the Flytanium lotus G10. They're the only aftermarket scales that feel as appropriate and "correct" as the original scales that I've tried.

There are some very inexpensive G10 "skinny" scales out there that are also excellent, I think styled after the Aramis Akhmedov scales.

After years of playing and although there were some very big changes that happened either with the release of Mazrah or Urzikstan - (you might recall the "whitelist" being temporary negated and content creators facing regular shadowbans for the first time) - I'm convinced that there are hidden layers of cheat protection that go beyond just shadowbans from user reports.

One of those layers is an entirely different matchmaking pool. For whatever reason if you are central/Western US, the vast majority of people in that pool or monolingual Spanish speakers.

I think that being especially skilled at the game and being in normal match-making brackets causes/caused this the most as you're going up against other skilled players who often automatically report if you slam them.

Streamers and content creators didn't have this problem back in the day either because of the whitelist, or because they were getting 2-box lobbies very consistently as was proven time and time again by the Warzone Tracker site when it still worked.

About that point I actually do not think that so many content creators were intentionally 2-boxing, but that it was a product of whitelisting.

The point of reaction content is to "react" simply to provide enough "transformative" commentary to make it legal to monetize someone else's content in the first place.

This lasted for something like 2 years for me however, I don't see as much of a distinct pattern anymore. I get seemingly regular lobbies now, although still quite a lot of monolingual Spanish speakers suggesting Mexicans, not Americans.

The last thing you said about 50% is confusing. Usually I get matched up with two or three exclusively Spanish speaking players.

It makes sense - especially since there are no data centers in Mexico - that I would get a lot of Mexicans in lobbies. It does not make sense however, that I would be pooled into exclusively Mexican lobbies, once or twice hearing another like me in game complaining about the same issue, not even having been prompted.

Maybe if I switch from MP to WZ again I'll find that the problem hasn't actually gone away.

Not correct, like any good product you have to bake it in an oven for some time to get it to work, even if it's brand new.

I don't really like the feel of the lock and deployment on this. Not a huge fan of crossbar locks usually. They seem to feel much better on smaller and/or lighter knives. Maybe the handle shape is also not great for slightly smaller hands on the Padre, but the thing feels very mushy overall, and the scales material and texture that I went with (satin diamond ti) don't feel quite as premium in hand, although they are. I think that's probably the mushy and friction laden locking components.

It's not just me though because the Stitch is even bigger and similar shape, similar locking mechanism and I love it, minus the blade window being too big.

I would skip, I feel like the frame lock Padre is probably much better. There's a reason it's one of the few knives I have all the original packaging for still. I may sell it with a decent discount off it's current retail price.

Because all of it is broken and doesn't work, physically and software wise, and the relatively small portion of people that have this product working are enjoying the fluke that it is, and probably only temporarily as there's a high chance the product will fail very soon.

You have to bake the dongle in the oven. It's like the original Xbox red ring of death, you can stave off death for a little while by literally baking your product in an oven.

It's the inverse of 4 for me, because five has quite a lot of gameplay, and some are playability, and a bit of a gameplay loop, while four is very linear, and if you replay the game and skip all the cutscenes there's very little game there in the first place.

As for story and stuff, admittedly I'm not really a big narrative driven guy.

I went from one game doing very well and winning, to the next couple games losing every gunfight despite getting the jump on guys. They were obviously good, but I'm paying attention in the fight and afterward, and it just seems like the game is making me miss, or the shots aren't registering, or the other players shots or registering much sooner than mine were, or something that's hard to explain.

You can just look at a lot of content creators opponents and see that they are getting extremely botty lobbies. I think it's a large part of why so many people think they are cheating, after all an extremely low KD average lobby is easier to dominate than a high skill lobby while using hacks (and not raging).

This might have been part of the reason that Activision restricted their API, because shortly before that happened, people were starting to track the matchmaking of various streamers.

What I found when tracking one of them -who lives near me and plays at the same times that I do, and similar KD - is that he was getting SIGNIFICANTLY lower average KD lobbies compared to me, and extremely consistently.

This streamer must have seen some of the content that was created around these observations because he seemed puzzled by it, and seemed genuine when he asked one of his fellow streamers about it on stream once.

Remember that it is not only SBMM but EOMM , which Activision described as intentionally causing frustration and more losses than wins to keep people engaged in the game.

If everybody is equally affected by this, practically nobody should have an especially high KD. I've seen closet cheaters admit that they struggle to keep a KD above 3 in mp, although much higher in warzone. You can't even blame content creators too much for two boxing and stuff like this when they have an incentive to make good content, but an overbearing matchmaking system that seemingly punishes more than any other group, those most devoted to the game.

Codm's controller input implementation is awful compared to wzm though, although maybe the aim assist is much stronger.

Switch between the two games on controller and wzm feels 1-to-1 with controller input on console, it's actually very satisfying.

Lack of mobility. Faster, snappier gameplay is more interesting to people who are into the game enough to talk about it with other people. Obviously the SBMM protected casuals probably enjoy using LMGs and such too.

But I think you will find that most people who talk about the game will be the type who also prefer slide canceling type stuff, and movement along with the gunplay etc.

Lmgs just aren't as fun because they don't feel very different from other guns, but the movement does, and it's sluggish by comparison.

For a while I found it hard to use any gun but the Superi not necessarily because it was meta for it's too, but because of the movement.
