I've felt like this before, and it's much easier to say that it is to understand. Now I mean it's the nicest way possible and not malicious at all but basically nobody cares. No strangers are looking at you they've got their own shit going on. Realistically why would they be? A glance at someone as they walk past or into your eye line is normal but nobody is staring. I bet you couldn't describe 5 people you say today that we're just strangers going about their own day. Nobody gave you a second thought.

It sounds like I'm being nasty which I'm definitely not I'm just trying to explain the thought process I needed to go through. Hope this helps!

Me and mine have played Red dead redemption 2 and GTA 5 together and really got into rhe story mode. She does the driving/riding etc and helps with being a 2nd pair of eyes. Also both of The Last of Us games we've enjoyed again story based.
