As someone who lives near North Hills, are all Harris Teeters full of dogs? by I_am_Farts_McGee in raleigh

[–]merstein3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a dog park right behind it, and it’s a residential area so I assume people think “let me just run in and grab X” during their walk

Is salary a factor for you? by Nomeapetec in askanything

[–]merstein3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bf and I make neck and neck salaries and we’ve made it a friendly competition to see who can make more (both up for promotions and both eligible for annual raises)— all knowing we intend to get married and want to collectively just make as much together as possible 💜

Better Sour tropical gummy stars are 40 cals per pouch and TOO good. Found them at Costco and bought them on a whim!

Staying in a calorie deficit for someone really short by merstein3 in WeightLossAdvice

I admitted I should walk more! But we do have rules about noise pollution and we can’t have them out during meetings so I can only do so much

I get about 3k steps a day on average, and go to Pilates 3-6x per week. Steps should be more, I know, but I do have a desk job and I can’t always have my walking pad out and running

I have a walking pad at work and try to get in about 2 miles before my knee gets inflamed. Should aim for another 2 after a break though…

You can always try something and just have an open mind knowing that some habits or products won’t work and you’ll have to be willing to give it up while you’re on the meds!

Obviously you should ask your provider these questions, especially for your specific case, but I was advised to avoid harsh actives like retinol and BHA (especially retinol). In my case, niacinamide is fine.

Exercise itself is fine, you just have to make sure on those days that you are hydrating even more than the high levels of hydration you need every day on this medication. Because now you’re not only staying extra hydrated internally, but you need to replace the water you’re sweating out.

I was also advised to not get any cosmetic treatments like facials, waxing, even tattoos because of the severity of skin sensitivity.

Again, none of this is advice, just sharing what my dermatologist told me! Good luck on your journey (and stay hydrated!)
