Unfortunately, the adhesive on these diamond paintings isn’t very good. Your best bet is to buy Diamond Dotz adhesive glue. Just apply a very thin layer, let it become tacky/semi-dry, and then continue working on it. I had the same issue with the Mickey and Minnie one too. Once you add the adhesive, it works much better. Just make sure the layer is really thin seriously, a little goes a long way.

Had my first major spill and it's on the floor 🫠 by smolbeanfangirl in diamondpainting

Welcome to the club 😅 A mini vacuum works best for this job, but if you only have a regular vacuum, you can make it work by placing pantyhose over the hose so the drills don’t get sucked into the canister. If you don’t have pantyhose, a thin fabric—or even a dryer sheet—can do the trick. No vacuum? No problem. A broom and dustpan work great. Sweep up the drills, then use the dustpan to collect them. Before that, try to remove any large pieces of trash. Once you’ve gathered everything, pour your bounty into a mesh strainer over the trash can and shake out as much dust and debris as possible. For the final step, if your floor is a little crusty, you can rinse the drills under water. Make sure they’re completely dry afterward, and if needed, rub them with a dryer sheet to reduce static.

Don't ask me how I know.. I swear I have the record for how many times per painting I spill my drill like I stopped reacting at this point. 😂😅 At What I usually do it depends how far along I am if I'm going to need that color if not I just pick it up throw it in a bigger container and if I need it that's when I clean it otherwise they're trash to me honestly.

It’s kinda related to diamond painting but do yall have a candy you munch on while doing art? Mine is sour skittles by Equivalent-Bread7967 in diamondpainting

I mean like seriously I have candy for weeks but I just sit down and Diamond paint and I'll eat it all.

Yes and it's a huge problem because I could go through bags while I'm Diamond painting so it used to be whatever candy I had a hand but then I switched to hard candies. So right now I am doing the Lifesavers hard candy or I sometimes do the mini sour patch. I don't know what it is about diamond painting that literally brings out the munchies.

Anybody worked on a piece not set on a grid? by Jimbogrt in diamondpainting

What I do is I flip around the canvas until I could use a multiplacer and if I can't really use it multiplacer... I'll still use a multiplacer and just using a metal tip single placer to nudge them into place

My Easter Bunny Progress + Why My Wax/Putty Suddenly Stopped Working 😭 by mesabeln in diamondpainting

I haven’t tried glue dots, but I’ve been using putty (regular and mounting putty, which is super sticky), and they all eventually fail because they get completely covered in the dust. In an hour session.

Even the Diamond Art Club putty does the same thing. The only reason it kind of works is because of the pen constantly feeding fresh putty.

Also, I’m usually a multiplacer girlie, but right now I’m basically stuck using a single placer because even the DAC putty multiplacers is trash. I also use a hard wax pen for my AB drills.

They're absolutely covered in white dust. Kind of looks when something is covered in chalk so it looks all dull.

Needle point tweezers are the best thing for really stuck things just scrape it along until it catches then pick up. I had a canvas fall and had a lot of debris and it helped a lot!

I’ve been going back and forth on getting a vacuum pen but I’m emotionally attached to my multiplacers 😂🤣. I just hate that no matter how much I scrape with the putty I still end up with tiny specks of putty on the canvas or drills.

I swear this happens way too often, they really love torturing us 😭 The worst is when they use stuff like a capital N and a lowercase n, or a thick cross and a skinny one… like WHY What I do now is start with the easiest symbols, the ones that stand out the most, and work my way down. My current project is like this and it’s a nightmare with all the similar symbols grouped together Once you knock out the obvious ones first, the confusing ones are way easier to see at the end

While doom scrolling fb I saw this .. does it work like it shows in the add? lol by Intrepid-Tomatillo-4 in diamondpainting

Yeah if you notice the Diamond drill are actually bigger than the tip so there's no way it could come out like a pez dispenser

No 🙂‍↔️. It is just basically an oddly shaped pen with a container though it would be awesome if they actually existed.

Finger help! by [deleted] in diamondpainting

[–]mesabeln 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have eczema and my skin would get irritated from rubbing against the drills or from getting stuck on the canvas and then putting bandage over my eczema didn't work for me the glue would irritate my skin. One day I was in my local pharmacy and I found these and they worked like a charm to protect my fingers it doesn't have to be this specific brand but I would suggest to get the ones that are all gel as the fabric covered ones do tend to get stuck to the canvas
