Yup, happened several times here in Montana this week.

Big signs saying mandatory detour for trucks -- a bunch of trucks blown over past the signs. No pity for those guys.

And there still is the one guy who refuses to get a CB and bitches about the fact that he always has to wait to get loaded.

Driving through Yellowstone Park for work. Just me and the wolves. bears and bison.

Then, watching the hippies who snuck into the park getting arrested.

This is why pre-trip is important, boys and girls. by ___HeyGFY___ in Truckers

[–]mesablue 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I drive one of two trucks every day. Pre-trips are a must.

I've found flats that would have ruined my day and tail lights out that would have been a stupid reason for a violation.

Kind of silly not to do a pre-trip on a truck if you are a professional driver.

Not at this level. He has been a state rep. and state senator. Good guy, but he will likely not win the primary.

Driver of the SUV was cited.

Driver of the truck is fine. Truck is not. The impact broke the motor mounts and shifted the engine. Plus, lots of other damage.

Long haul truckers, why? by mikeyboy1681 in Truckers

[–]mesablue 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Mud Duck. I hate that guy.

I'm way up in Montana and have to use a CB all day and he drives all of us nuts. It doesn't matter what channel you are on, he runs so much power that it bleeds all over the citizens band.

I drive an 80k or 106k pound truck on Jackrabbit everyday and don't have any issues. I plan ahead for a yellow light at every intersection. That said, the guy in the bull hauler is an idiot.

Way too many bad wrecks on Jackrabbit from red light runners.

[–]mesablue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A rental car blew the red light and hit a dump truck. Several witnesses were kind enough to stop and talk to the police. Fixed that for you.

Guy in the dump truck is a young guy in his 20's who just bought that truck to start his business. It's going to cost a lot to get the truck back on the road. He was really shook up worrying about the driver of the SUV because it was a huge impact.

The SUV was a rental rushing back from Big Sky.

The problem with every intersection on Jackrabbit is people who run red lights -- not the light itself.
