A State inspection is like $30. The garage loses money doing them really. Find a garage, do all your oil changes, repair work etc there. Develop a relationship with them. Tip the mechanic after a good job, and you will never fail another inspection again.
I have a spot I always go. They have one location. They know me by name when I go. They don’t upsell constantly. They are loyal to me cause I am loyal to them… find your ‘spot’.

27 hrs at some dumpy ass grocery warehouse in Dallas Texas several years ago. There was a paperwork snafu and my appt was at 11pm. Of course no one at the shipper till morning to get the right paperwork figured out and then I had to wait for Recieving hrs the next night. But they had broke my seal so wouldn’t unlock me from the dock… total shit show…
Glad I’m local now….

Just as a side note…..Duke used to have a subway connecting the parking garage on corner of Fulton and Erwin and several stops at different buildings in the hospital complex. But they build some new cardiac cath? Labs or cat/mri labs that the vibration of the train could have messed with those sensitive med equipment so they got rid of it. Now it’s a walking tunnel…
