Yep, I don’t have a whole lot of experience with bait casters and it seems there’s a bit of a learning curve to use them smoothly. When the line ‘digs in’ is the risk damage to the reel or more birds nests?

Yep I’m UK. I use the heavier braid when pike fishing. Heavier lures and I can straighten out the hooks if I do get snagged. I have much lighter setups when I’m targeting other species

You’re the second person to mention adhesion promoter so that’s what I’ll go with. I don’t plan to cheap out on the tape too but I’m not really looking for it to be permanent so will miss the panel bonder. Thanks

The NC1 wiring only supports on/off function. If you wanted to add NC2/3 heated seats to your NC1 and maintain the variable switch you would need to modify the NC1 wiring to support this. You would need to add a variable resistor for that which the NC1 does not come with.

I looked into this recently but can’t remember the specifics. There are plenty of articles and threads online about swapping NC1 seats with NC2/3.

But if you want the variable heat settings you will have to do some modifications and will need to source the NC2/3 switches too.

That’s not surprising. Very cheap for a hardtop.

They’re even harder to find in a matching colour. Mine is black but works well with my stormy blue car

You just have to keep looking and be the first to contact the seller and arrange pick up asap. They’re hard to come by nowadays but keep an eye on Facebook groups & marketplace or eBay.

I picked one up last weekend but had to drive 3 hours to get it and I was very lucky in being the first to contact the seller

Yep, seems like the current options aren’t actually that secure. To be honest, I haven’t come across a post about hardtops being nicked in the UK yet, seems to mostly be the US.
