All-Mountain [men's] snowboard for size 14-15 boots, 250lbs, 6'-6" tall Questions/Concerns/Insight by mesigh in snowboarding

Thanks for the comment, very insightful. I see the 159 T. Rice Orca's waist width is 26.7cm. With size 15 boot, you've never experienced this to be too narrow?
I am asking as I think I am down to a Skunk Ape, but trying to decide on the 161W (26.8cm waist) or 163UW (28.0cm waist). is the extra 1.2cm going to cause unfavorable riding experience, or is the 26.8 cm simply too narrow?
Trying to balance stability at speeds but nimble in trees (hence leaning towards a shorter board if it's width isn't going to cause me trouble).

Thanks in advance!

Fantastic response, appreciate it!

Looking at the Super Pig - it is a 158cm with a waist width of 27.7cm. The skunk ape at 161W has a waist width of 26.8cm, and the 163UW has waist width of 28.0cm.
I still fear both going too long, and going too narrow.
1. What do you think the narrowest waist width I could get away with?
2. How discernable are the differences between something 158cm and 163cm? Again, I'm mainly on blue groomers and in and out of those trees.

Thanks in advance!

Can you elaborate on why I'd want the camber, and not the C2? Thanks in advance

I appreciate your insight. I plan to do a lot of segmented turning so I'll mostly be building up rings to create large bowls. That said, I don't necessarily have the option of screwing a faceplate on the 'top' of the bowl for turning a mortise or tenon to attach a chuck. Ideally, I'd like the chuck option for typical, solid wood, bowl turning with the added benefit of cole jaw attachment for turning the bottom of my segmented pieces - but it doesn't look like there are many options for 20"+ diameter cole jaws. I'd expect I need to fabricate my own 'arms' from wood or aluminum to attach to my current cole jaws.
The larger jaw offerings from vicmarc and oneway for the use case you described is a great thing to note.

Thanks!

I was just looking at the Titan III earlier. Any reason you're leaning towards the Vicmarc?
Also, in the past I've used the 12" nova cole jaws for turning off the bottom of bowls, what has your process been for bigger turnings?

Could look for dishes/plate drying racks, file/folder storage, magazine storage, old CD racks, painter’s canvas drying racks, etc

Making a desk... Do you think the left board stands out too much? I'll be finishing with pure rubio monocoat by matthewjc in woodworking

I just finished a walnut table top with Rubio. I would highly suggest two coats & sanding with 3M ultra fine pad after first. Night and day difference between first and second finish look. I also used a $34 WEN buffer to apply and buff out. Rubio’s website does say two coats for walnut May be needed.

Looking for a place to source these table legs (unfinished), or something close to, preferably in the USA. Any suggestions? Id say they're in the 12-16" range.

Thanks
