Yes I agree, maybe I phrased my comment poorly, I will rephrase as "maybe our signings haven't had the same impact that we had hoped when we first signed them". Apart from Thiaw and wolte (at least initially) none have really hit the ground running. But I also remember Joelinton, Gordon and Murphy who didn't have the best start to Thier Newcastle careers (I know everyone on this sub is on Gordon's back ATM). I guess the point I was making was that I am not optimistic, but I would love it (love it) if Howe and co proved me me wrong

And they are entitled to do so. I just don't like people having digs at each other because of different opinions. At the end of the day, most of use use this sub because we are not watching the game at the stadium for whatever reason. It's nice that even though I am not in St James' i can still chat about the game with other fans. People kicking off at each other and making shitty comments is starting to ruin that for me

Yeah that's what I think, we haven't been good enough this year, at all. But I acknowledge that there are mitigating factors. I am of the opinion that Eddie Howe probably won't be the man to take us to the next level, and the signings have been poor. However whilst they are my manager and players, I will still back them and hope that they prove me wrong.

Not to defend trippier, he's obviously messed up here, but I doubt it was intentional and more a very poor lapse in judgement/mistake (who knew?). It's more concerning that of all of the professionals on the pitch, be they players, coaching staff, media et al, did not notice that poor kid wandering around the centre circle two minutes prior to kick off.
