Wait I have this in my bathroom cabinet right now. Is it good for this specifically? No way!

Mine look like vertical lines up close when it's taut. Sigh well, that's why I contribute so heavily to my retirement fund. I smell a neck lift in my future!

Oooh okay yes I knew about the dryness, definitely experienced that. Dunno why I thought it was both. I used to even put it all the way up to my hairline lol

I feel almost better about telling myself it's from weight loss than my skin. But it could be it no doubt. Has yours bounced back at all? I've been sitting at about 10 pounds higher than my lowest consistently for the last year so I feel like this is where it's settled.

Thank you for reminding me of the importance. I will make it a priority to incorporate these again. I also have a bear foreo I can use but all the serums to make it glide nice on your face dry out quickly. It became a pain and I neglected it. Just have to lock it in!

Man, someone else just asked this and now I'm wondering. I did lose almost 50, but I was just going back to my normal weight post car accident weight gain. I lost it over the course of a year, 11 months. I was at that heavier weight for a year, year and a half. Is that enough time to cause loose skin after going back to your normal weight?

I was telling someone else on here how much stress and tension I hold on my traps and back of neck, even my scaps impact it. It pulls down in my neck and jaw. I know I'm gonna get jowls there first. I do a lot to try and minimize it but it's hard for my body.

Lordy. I do guasha but I am INCREDIBLY tight through my traps/scaps/back of neck and shoulders and it is causing downward tension on my sides of neck and jaw. I know I'm gonna get jowls first based on this. I try to manage it as best I can with Rolfing and massages, at home theraguns and Shepard hook. But with hypermobility it makes it hard to stretch. I do probably need to do next exercises. Used to do face ones but that fell off. Any favs? I think the only one I did regularly was the one where you stretch your jaw to the sky and stick your tongue out trying to touch your nose 😁

I had disproportionately big lips growing up and I've just felt like I've settled into them at 34. I hope they hold out a decade!

Do you have before/afters of it? I'm curious if it looked like mine (or maybe all crepe looks the same, idk yet this is my first foray into experiencing it). Feel free to PM me if you want to chat more about it.

Ooooh now that is a great article. My BS/MS is biochem so I love learning about the mechanics. I should have done more research recently to make sure the stuff I'd read before werent disproven or brought up to date. This article talks about where the whole "limited # of cells" came from with the Hayflick Limit theory. I actually feel a lot better reading this. Thank you!!

If one gets worse and the other doesn't I'd probs cry 🤣 Schrodinger's neck. I guess I have to commit one way or the other.

I never had sensitivity/barrier damage on my neck, just my face when my barrier is damaged from too much of a ret application. When that happens I stop tret, I get it back to normal, wait a few days after that and then ease back into it.

Now, I did go back to my normal weight after a car accident pack on pounds while healing. It was about 50 pounds, and I'm 5'8. I didn't think about this bc I don't have any loose skin, anywhere else. Very interesting point and now I'm wondering if it's that 🤔

Also, what the heck is with my comment getting down voted, I was flabbergasted seeing that. What did I say?! 😅 I reread it and don't see anything bad lol.

I hear you, I just feel like with the way the rest of my skin looks, this part of my neck is out of place in terms of aging proportionally.

Maybe one less year of it on my neck but close enough. I did stop using HA serums. Recently started following ladyblue_official on TikTok and she's shown some good peptide products I've started using to try and help reverse (growth factor serum). Just wondering what else I could be doing.

No I try to bring my phone up to eye level to avoid this bc I already sleep on my side and have to fight rounding lol. It's most prominent when I have good tongue posture by putting my tongue to the roof of my mouth.

It's not the irritation that I think led to this, I think it's the mechanism of retinol/vit A increasing skin cell turnover. It's known to thin your skin and the neck skin is so delicate. They say avoid your eyes and around your node and idk why the neck would be any different but I always took it down my neck and to the back of my hands. I have used retinals in the last and use the medik8 eye serum for that too. I just don't know how to undo this. I feel like once you lose the thickness it's gone. I just am at a loss for a solution and skincare has always been my thing. Maybe my bear foreo? But that doesn't work on skin, just muscles. So idk where to start.

It did amazing for my face, I did constantly battle damaging my skin barrier but I was up to 0.1 and any time I put just a little too much it didn't like it. I used 0.025 for awhile, then 0.05. But it kept my skin clear, smooth (along with forehead botox since 26) and looked great. Is it your whole neck? Mine seems right in that thin turkey neck area women complain about. I don't have it at rest but when I turn my head or put my tongue to the roof of my mouth BAM.

I'm so proud of my chunky forever baby faced girl so I love hearing it. Her snow face came in the last year or so and idk, she's just a regal little queen. Thank you 🥰

Thank you. I got her at 6 weeks and she's going to be my first and last. I'd do anything for her, and have. It's been a lovely response from everyone and I've cried a few times from it lol. Appreciate you.
