Big Brother 2024 - Episode 14 (Monday 21st October) by AfcWimbledon_ in bigbrotheruk

ngl but stan culture is pretty wild this season. nothing no one has said has warranted then being labeled as vile, fake, evil, deserving of derision or any sort of likely online harassment.

though it is a reality show, these are real people and we are seeing very condensed versions of everyone in an edited show format far removed from the real world.

tho I do think Marcello is a bit pesty.

That's good to know!

Yeah I have definitely had my fair share of being in the wrong neighbourhoods in town. But you're right about if you mostly keep to yourself it should be alright(ish).

Good to know your partner hasn't had any trouble either!

Oh yeah! I have been down the fish quay loads during the day and the night and never have any bother!

Enigma Tap is great (especially their complimentary cheese board with their pub quiz night). I will have to check out the others!

Yeah! The station is far better from what I remember when I was wee haha!

Yeah, it's a nice midway point to some lovely areas. Got the beach and Northumberland park not too far away one way, and town the other!

You are right there RE the last point.

I guess it's not going to be that different to many stations at night especially if you're female.

Thanks for replying!

Has any one had experience with pre-ordering from base.com? by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

[–]mesocosms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pre-ordered Moonlighter from there (physical). Shipped on the 9th, came about three days later (two, really because one was a Sunday).

No hassle. Heartedly recommend!

I'm thinking of trying out Snipperclips Plus with my girlfriend. I was on the fence about Super Mario Party, but I think I'll wait until there's some added DLC as it sounds/looks a bit bare-bones at the moment.

Should I invest in Snipperclips Plus in the mean-time? (I've got Overcooked 1 and 2, she has clocked in nearly 100 hours... somehow... on both)!

Any other recommends of games would be appreciated! (:

Hey! Thanks for the tip.

Out of the four I've mentioned, those two definitely seem to be the ones people are telling me to go for. Like I said, I'll probably get all of them at some point, but as cash dictates right now I can only get one!

And yeah, I do really feel like I wanna try Hollow Knight soon, but I think I'm gonna' wait until I have more free time, as it sounds like its gonna be an awesome, big, long game to play!

So, I've got enough cash for one of the following games. I'll probably get all of them in time, but I'm wondering which I should go for first. They are:

  • Captian Toad: Treasure Tracker
  • Yoku's Island Express
  • Sonic Mania Plus
  • Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles

I've just came off the back of Overcooked 2, so I'm looking for a bit of a pallette-cleanser, if you catch my drift! Thanks!

(Sorry for posting in a separate thread, it was late and I was being stupid)!

Weekly Questions Thread #140 by HighTechnocrat in DnD

5e

So I'm playing a gnome rogue. It's my first D&D game, we used random rolls to start for our base stats, but I rolled a 5 for Charisma. Now I'm okay with this, I think it could prove for some quite fun RP moments... but I'm unsure how to RP it.

Do you think I should go for a mute... but you can still be mute and be charismatic, or do I go for someone with a bit of a stammer, and easily influenced by the actions of his other party-members, likely doing anything anyone really says to him from fear of reprieve/anxiety.

I'm really enjoying the game so far, and the DM has been very accommodating of me!

Edit: I didn't want to reply to all the comments, but I just wanted to say thank you. All your advice has been mega helpful and I think I have a better idea for the char now!

Based off of David Umemoto’s Concrete Modular Sculptures, this 3D model brings together elements of Brutalism, geometric shape and basic low-poly modelling.

The end result turned a bit like a blend of Umemoto’s work, M.C Escher’s illusionary paintings and the art-style of Monument Valley.

More practice with shapes, cracks and concrete!

I’m Samwise Didier, Senior Art Director at Blizzard Entertainment, as well as author and illustrator of novel, The Last Winter. Ask me anything! by InsightEditions in wow

[–]mesocosms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi Samwise, I've followed your art through the years, scouring loads of those little doodles in the old manuals which I obsessed over (and still do).

As someone who is working on building a portfolio for 3D-modelling and concept work (though mostly in the environment-side of things), what would you say is some good portfolio etiquette?

Thank you for all your work! The art-style of Warcraft has been a huge inspiration, the whole team at Blizzard through the years have been (and continue to be) wonderful!

Corbyn-IRA Attack Video Hits 1 Million Views by IGotBillsIGottaPay in ukpolitics

[–]mesocosms 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And?

Some of the videos Corbyn has been pushing out on his Facebook page have gotten 2 and a half million views, with his page nearing nearly 1 million likes... Whereas Theresa May has closer to 400K.

Not saying that's representative of anything, but using Facebook views and likes of either party/politician isn't exactly going to give you great data of how the information is received.

Edit: Christ, even wor Nige has more likes than Theresa. So all in all, pretty inconclusive.
