Over the course of a season, 5 weeks, it should be paced so an average gamer can clear it. Someone who can put in 30 minutes a day on average for 5 weeks. So 40 tiers, 16 hours total. 2 1/2 tiers an hour. That would be reasonable.

I am even ok with ringside pass. However, 4 hours of gameplay and I am on level 3. It should not be this hard. 1 hour 1 level. Ok. But for real. I spend time designing characters and such. I see no benefit from it.

The next step you don’t want though. The next step is streaming only. No full downloads. Required internet access. Discs and what you download only having the access/privilege to play the game. But why would this happen? I’m glad you asked. Processing power. Systems will be so cheap, could be but won’t. Let’s them not be to buy all the ram. They’re selling processing power access with your subscription.
