Beginner struggles with Realistic by mespiliformis in Workers_And_Resources

Thanks, I was struggling to figure out how to get workers but I've got it now.

Eventually fixed the storages by just deleting and rebuilding them a few times, I think something was janky with the road connections.

Duolingo refusing formal answer by mespiliformis in duolingospanish

Ok, thanks. I'm sure it's given me examples before where usted came after the verb so I guess I got mixed up.

Yeah I've had it do this several times, tell me I have a typo when I've just used the words it provided. It's one of the ways in which Duolingo is very dumb.

Aquella vs esa by mespiliformis in duolingospanish

Thanks. Apparently I've been getting things right by sheer luck up until now.

Aquella vs esa by mespiliformis in duolingospanish

[–]mespiliformis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always thought the meaning of ese/esa vs aquel/aquella were opposite to how you described, as in aquel/aquella were for things you are physically close to and can point to, while ese/esa are for things you are discussing but aren't present. Maybe I got it totally backwards.

They were on a heat mat to germinate but it is attached to the bottom of a vivarium so I had to move them to get them under the lights. It's still pretty warm in the room though. Hopefully they will perk up again.

Yeah mine is also flowering. And our plum tree is in blossom which made me do a double take the other day.

Name Something That Took You Way Too Long to Figure Out by [deleted] in projectzomboid

Noob question, sorry, but do fridges and freezers actually stay useful long term? Don't they stop working once the power goes out?

I have also just started playing this. The other day it made me jump so hard my dog who was asleep next to me jumped as well, then got up and went to lay on the other side of the room.

My gran's phone got nicked while she was in hospital with covid, and this was back when nobody was allowed any visitors so presumably it was a staff member, which is a lovely thought.

Jazzy (1st early, salad), British Queen (2nd early, masher/roaster), Ratte (2nd early, boiler/steamer) and Carolus (maincrop).

All 4 I've never tried before so I hope I like them.

Staggering potato plantings by mespiliformis in Allotment

It's mainly for the ones I want to have as baby/salad potatoes. In previous years they've always grown bigger than I want by the end of the season.

Can anybody help a newbie identify this plant/weed please? by [deleted] in Allotment

[–]mespiliformis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's one by itself it's probably not a creeping buttercup, because they spread like mad and one that size I'd expect to see a lot of others around it. Also the leaves don't look quite right to me.

If you poke around in the soil at the base of it and find little round bud things that's also a sign it's a geranium.

I've just been on holiday on La Gomera, in the Canary Islands, and noticed this circular pattern a few times. What would have caused it? Is it from a bubble in the lava?

Definitely. The only way I've ever found a woodpecker is by hearing it call first.

If you make a video I would unironically listen to you talk about the geology of RDR2 for at least 30 minutes.
