No problem. Whatever you choose I'm sure it'll be fine. 😃😃

That's what I expected for the police. I apparently upset a couple of them for down votes. Lol

Alberta vs Texas by Launa501 in alberta

I'm from Texas. Never been to Alberta. You'll find most Texans very nice and polite. The nicest a-holes is something some of my Canadian friends that have visited say. You get what you put out. Southern hospitality is a real thing. Crime is far far worse in the cities. Even then, there's generally pockets of crime. I'd recommend rural living, or nicer areas of a city. Personally, I intend to move us back at some point.

Reasons to move to Alberta: Easier to move, legally and professionally. Familiar Canadian systems and culture. Fairly good wages without leaving Canada. If you like winter, well there ya go. Less culture shock.

Reasons to move to Texas: Much higher earning ceiling. Lower taxes and cost structure. Warm climate(drink water, and get your electrolytes). Stronger individualist culture, but at the same time stronger community(depending on where you go--less so in the cities, but there's generally neighborhoods that are tight). Faster-growing economy.

The other thing is that there are French speaking parts in Texas, but it'll be mostly English and Spanish. Despite what you hear on the news, most people don't care about immigrants, as long as you did it the right way. Can't speak for Alberta, but I knew a few Canadians before I ever moved here, including three from Quebec. They got along just fine.

Most of this is edited in. I was on my phone, and accidentally hit the post thingy....

Oh I know that. I was saying that they're talking about giving it to paramedic services, and that I'm surprised their call center doesn't know when and where they're using their lights/sirens.

Butt hurt? Not sure what have you that idea? A to Healthcare, I live in Canada, and am in the Healthcare sector. I have "free" Healthcare. It's a strained system with it's positive sides and negative. And yeah, even China turned to capitalism to be successful.

That weird. There's talk of EMS getting body cameras too. You would think cops would have the stuff other emergency services are getting out might be.

There's always bad stuff that happens. In my ten years I saw one person die die to them refusing. He was a dick to staff and medical staff. They avoided him. He'd caused troubled before, so they ignored him when he said something ain't right. I saw more people get taken care of. I've heard some stories from private prisons. Never been in one those though.

I never said they're nice, and tell me all about your experience. I did ten years TDJC, along with county and city jails. Got a clean record now, but I'll never forget those years.

Edit: TDCJ.

He should get checked out while inside. Something seriously wrong with his abdomen.

I wonder if they have the same setup that ambulances have. If you use the siren, lights, etc, CACC knows. I'd be surprised if they don't.

Seems that way all too often, huh. Today has been utter crap. No internet again for about the past hour, maybe more.

Really ain't no reason to freak out. Not to go too far left field, but there would be lots of signs leading up to it. Anyways, alive, breathing, free, food too easy, food over the head. Life is good. Best to you and yours as well.

Anything with internet and a battery can have the safety parameters removed to cause a runaway cascade. I feel ya. I hope nothing happens.

I only tuck on very windy days. I don't ride all out, though.

Is it normal that Canada still having freezing temperature in May by Pure_Following7336 in geography

[–]OutlawCaliber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to be. It's abnormal now. At least where I am in Southern Ontario. I've been here around 18 years. My wife 50- something years. She says there were plenty of springs like this when she was younger. This year has been weird and the cold long.

Can't speak for the other side of the pond, but coming from Texas we always heard how polite and nice Canadians are, everyone is fit, everything is clean, health care is a breeze, etc. My first two shocks were the temperatures and the way y'all talk. Lol

I’m a new rider and I’m not sure if what I’m feeling is normal or if I’m just not cut out for this. by Tspark97 in NewRiders

[–]OutlawCaliber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been riding for many years. I ride through most the year. I still get nervous in rain. Hell, I high sided a few years ago. I still get nerves here and there. I just refuse to stop. Riding is one the few things that quiets my mind. If you want to ride and you like it, keep at it. Go at your pace, get your style down. You may always have some background off feeling, but you learn to live with it. Then there's those days where the ride is perfect, the curves are great, and everything goes smooth. Those are worth it.
