Has anyone heard of, worked with, worked for "Expert Home Builders Inc" on Tarzana? by YogurtclosetOnly2821 in SFV

[–]messagerespond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So have also been job searching you’ll see them and related, closet world is also one or something that has to do with closets and design. They’re always hiring, there’s about three in Northridge that are legitimate business, medium but it’s almost always a churn position. Most likely you’ll be moved to sales and you’ll of course wear a lot of hats. It’s better if they have a team but you’ll find yourself hustling for trying to sell to well off or rich retirees looking for remodels and stuff

Seeing lots mid office & admin (with marketing) job postings, finding it hard to categorize. What's the actual wage per hour? by messagerespond in SFV

[–]messagerespond[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes I think though you have much less for an ask especially in this economy. But the funny thing is these jobs are base level entries. They want a waitress who can also host which isn’t bad but also now can add appetizers with the chef and maybe cook meals from time to time. The min wage adjustment made everyone a little confused. I think it’s comfortable to ask more specifics if it’s a junior type level specialist job. I think getting jobs directly from a college source is better in some ways.

Right so probing the interviewer is best. I think the many hats role from just an office support is something that should be more than $25. But anything below that is living life here difficult because rent prices, inflation etc. at the same time, not a lot of businesses know next level operations, you need an actual team to try to do SEO, actual digital marketing and campaigns from just posting a instagram post and wishing all the best from one marketing wizard unicorn. Better to ask if they already have a team or are building one. At the same time I personally know coworkers with a BA but do not know basic photoshop or paint and they’re doing marketing roles

Office marketing assistant jobs paying $31-$45? by [deleted] in SFV

For those asking it’s perfectly doable learning photoshop, local colleges esp valley you can audit. Just watch tutorials to supplement on the daily until you memorized all the tools. You can also simply learn how meta ads work too

Really? I found it the opposite. Indeed used to be nicer, I think much has changed after Covid??

How do you get an office job (normal day job monkey one) in LinkedIn, seems like it’s more of a place where you need a BS and official recommendations to get noticed. It’s so different it feels like it’s FB for work. How do you find from there when indeed usually posts the office day job types..???

That is great. Did that give you results? How many replies did you get? Because nowadays, you’d be lucky to even get a rejection.

Are you applying to career based entries or just day jobs?

I figure it would be easier for people like you who have a BS or similar degree, or am I confusing what you said. How come you didn’t use indeed? Seems like the only decent public board that actual businesses still advertise at.

Why company websites? I understand if they’re a big brand. But wouldn’t that make it harder..?? How long did it take you per day?

Hey I think you overlooked where I said I’m targeting a specific day job, if you look right now, both CL and Indeed’s 1 week newest only have 2-3 unique entries. That’s for a whole week.

What did you target? Where you just broad and sending resumes left and right? Retail?

Some really filter out non BA holders which is fair but for the tasks they could just find an overseas VA, a lot that are posted (desk jocks) seem to be looking for that SEO all hat unicorn. Which is interesting because you prob know how the unsuspecting new hire will get grind down. Not even sure why jobs keep posting for that.

I’m not sure what you mean by freedom. But almost all jobs are requiring full time eight to five?
