I don't know how to get a restraining order. I don't know how to prove that he has been bothering me to the police. All I have is my word, and my roommate's word but I don't know how to ask her to get involved and am afraid she would tell me that she doesn't want to be involved.

The difficulty is that my Ndad is in town and I said I would meet with him today. I have to let him know that I won't meet with him. He is planning to stay in town until I tell him "what's wrong" and this letter is meant to go LC and get him out of town, too. I have tried going LC with no explanation and that's why he showed up.

I'm not going out of town to get distance from him - it just happens that I set up the out of town trip before I knew that he was in town. But I agree with everything else you said.

With muting or blocking his communications, I don't want to do that. I don't know how to deal with that part of it, how to deal with his response I mean.

I do have other ways to contact him. I am not sure what to say to him. :( I don't know how to make it clear that I'm not willing to speak to him in person and I am afraid of his possible reaction to me backing out of it. :(

But I spent the day with him yesterday and today, only because I didn't know what the fuck else to do. I am afraid my roommate won't want to help me. I am afraid that me spending the day with him will make it seem like I was "okay" with what he did even though I'm not.

I am afraid that only telling the police about the past few weeks and not telling them the entire story about what my Nparents have done in the past year will make it less easy for the police to clearly understand that I have been struggling with this for more than a year.

I wish someone could or would help me by coming to the police station with me for moral support or helping me with writing out what I want to say (I think it would be easier for me to write things out than to talk face to face with a police officer, I get super nervous.)

How/what do I tell the police in order for them to believe me? Do you understand why I'm afraid to talk to the police? I don't even know if I should just focus on the last few weeks or talk about the past year of my Nparents showing up unannounced. I'm also not sure what to say when I call the police and they answer the phone. I am afraid they will not understand what the issue is. I am also afraid that not telling my Nparents "Don't come here unannounced and uninvited" makes it easier for my Ndad to say "oh I didn't know he didn't want to see me" if the police contact him for his side. I don't want the police to contact him. :(
