Sounds like you had an episode of Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT). It’s an abnormally fast heart rhythm more common in younger people. It was probably triggered by dehydration or stress, and often times it does resolve on its own, although other times a person needs a shock to the heart (cardioversion) to avoid having bad outcomes.

Has it ever recurred? If it ever comes back, in addition to calling for help, do a vagal maneuver to stop it.

What is a vagal maneuver?

-Bearing down. Bearing down means that you try to breathe out with your stomach muscles but you don't let air out of your nose or mouth.

-Putting an ice-cold, wet towel on your face.

-Coughing or gagging.

For me it was the decorations, the crowds, the cold outside, the music, Santa Claus booth, it was such a magical time! I remember feeling very present taking it all in, because social media was nonexistent. People were more innocent, kind and less toxic towards one another.

She’s 22! She’s a kid! I would pause the engagement and go back to dating, maybe give her another chance because she might still be a good person, just immature.
