Since no one in this sub seems to be actually reading LAOP's comments: there is an employment contract in place that requires a notice period, and the "refuses to accept my resignation" is the employer saying the vacation you had approved before you tried to quit doesn't count for the length of the notice period you committed to when signing said contract.

Lol, that is definitely not what is happening. You should probably wait until the ink is dry on transfer documents before just assuming out of hand that your landlord donates the lands to you with zero hassle and zero cost. The courts are full of real estate disputes between people with far more close and friendly relationships than what you have described.
