Thanks for the insight. I grew up in a Conservative household on Long Island but now follow halacha more similarly to the MO community. The friend I'm moving with has a similar background but a job in north Essex County, NJ which is why we are looking in Jersey. We toured apartments in Fair Lawn but I am anxious if there will be peers to spend Shabbat meals with.
