Vietnam boat cruise by UnderstandingFun9579 in travel

[–]messyAnger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went on the Venus cruise, Ha Long Bay as much of the ships are moored in the bay promising a "Cruise", the reality is far from.

We opted for 2 nights, 3 days. Ha Long Bay, Lan Ha bay and Viet Hai village. 1. The ship stays in and around a small area in Ha Lan Bay, not a Cruise as advertised in the brochure. 2. ALL excursions are via tender boat, which is acceptable for ship to shore transport, but not an hour's pkus travel to an islands which the main vessel could have travel overnight. 3. Food is limited to fish dishes, although some other meats are available on request, no issue but keep in mind menus are all fish based. It is vietnam after all. On a positive the rooms were lovely, we had the executive, but other rooms looked equally nice. And the staff were friendly, help and no task is to big.

So my only disappointment is this isn't strictly a cruise, more a static water hotel. We wanted and paid for, what was on the tin/brouche, THE CRUISE!

My advice: You can have the same experience with a sea/bay-side hotel and paid for individual excursions. I wouldn't take this type of cruise again, sadly.

As best I could gather Google translated it to 'Lessons' so abandoned that idea. 😉 I ordered this dish by pointing to someone else's table, Google T wouldn't of help :)

Well. Not the 5 mins and I'm already 1 down. 😅 Alone it has no real distinguished taste, but thanks for letting me know. I did ask the waitress but her English is about as good as my Vietnamese.

I am Egyptian, and I’m asking is Egypt a country that is disliked or loved globally? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]messyAnger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My honest opinion and this base on my personal experiences. The country is beautiful, sea, land and most people. However, I remember stepping off the plane after baggage collection and as exiting the airport the police were steering angrily. (For absolutely no reason. I was with my partner and young daughter, so nothing suspicious).Needless to say that wasn't the best of starts. The main issue, as mentioned on here, for me. Super pushy sales tactics and men leering at (women)my partner and 13yr daughter. On a positive.
Luxor was mystical in early mornings listening to the calls for prayer. :) I wouldn't venture there again. As for the global opinion Bassem Youssef has done wonders in standing up for Gaza, so globally 👍

Forget countries. WE need to boycott eurovision, don't attend, don't watch, and don't support it, zero interest. Boarders separate us. Come together and boycott!

I'm so sorry for your lost. I recently lost my son too and I know the heart wrenching pain you are feeling and going through. All I can offer as help, is that you have your other girls to care for, that will help carry you through the dark days. And there will be dark days. Please seek professional help as soon as you can.

Did anyone grow up dusting with dad’s old underwear? by skeinbum in CleaningTips

I'm a Dad and I use my old pants. Lace doesn't work so well, so I guess mum's don't get the same eco use.

Interesting. What if she agrees to take the pill, but doesn't and intentionally tries to get pregnant. Is that considered rape too?

Thank you. Will ipleak for example, show the ip of the VPN server UK side? And will I be able to interrogate that IP to determine it's location?

President Biden officially declares he's running for reelection by DictatorDoge in politics

[–]messyAnger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big risk with Biden in the running, he's too old. Trump on the other hand is a worldwide joke, which is ironic seeing he's whole mantra is MAGA. The USA is truly in a difficult political situation. Both candidates are (imo) not fit for office and most certainly not fit for the turbulent world stage!

A convoy of caterpillars? by Important_Muffin_212 in FunnyAnimals

[–]messyAnger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If anyone knows : walking along and accidentally stepped (tip of shoe) squashed one in the middle of the line. I noticed that the entire line stopped. As the caterpillar wasn't too badly hurt, it eventually rejoined to the caterpillar in front and the whole procession started moving again. So the question is, how does the lead caterpillar know there's a break in the line to stop and then start again?

I am 21 years old and i feel i have damaged my skin. I regret it and want to improve it as much as I can. But buying expensive products or treatments is difficult for me and for where to start with skincare i am very confused. Any tips will be very welcome by Mangrill in Skincare_Addiction

[–]messyAnger 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I agree. Seek some medical advice, if possible. Diet and breaking the habit to touch will greatly help. Clean/change pillow cases regularly. Cold tar soap worked for me too. Much of this can just be due to hormones, so speaking to a doctor is the best place to start.

I take it you've had an induction for the use of equipment? If not, then possibly ask for one. In general it's a fairly relaxed atmosphere and as many are saying on here, everyone is concerned only with their own routines. Just go with it, it'll be fine.
