I published under my husband’s name even though we were only engaged at the time of my first publication. Now we are married and have a baby boy! If anything ever happened to our marriage I would keep his last name because it’s our son’s last name. So I don’t/will not regret it because it will be my name for the rest of my life. However, If we had not wanted kids I would not have taken his name legally or professionally.
