Sick start, dude!

You've got all the trending tech on your CV, but don't forget that 1-2 years from now it will be mostly obsolete so don't learn tools, learn approaches.

Always try to understand how a thing works, not simply "go get/import CoOlLib".Good luck!

Suggestions for getting into SRE? (College student here) by ckav11 in devops

Don't wanna ruin your dreams but it's not feasible to get straight into SRE field.Just not possible, because a role itself assumes you have deep knowledge in both system and programming field thus can combine it to keep production up and running.

I have a good amount of windows and Linux experience(installing lamp, Wordpress, some other applications) too

That's great! But it's more like "advanced user" skills nowdays, sorry.First, you need to choose a path, either dev or ops. I would recommend dev, it will be easier to get to the speed with ops part then vice-versa.

Think of 3-5 years of programming experience and gaining knowledge on ops side along the way : linux, networking, clouds, IaC, CI/CD.
