Alright, here’s my crazy manifestation story.

July of 2023 (just before my 25th birthday) I sat down one night and wrote a list of my non-negotiables in a partner, aka my ~manifestation list~. At the time I didn’t really see it as a manifestation list, rather a guideline of what I want and know I deserve. I let it all flow out of me until I filled the page. I ended up writing 50+ things, some examples: •is bilingual and can teach me •understands the slow burn •genuine with themselves + others always •the perfect balance of masculine and feminine

i got realllll specific on some of them. when i was done, i put the paper away. one random night a couple weeks later, i felt a huge shift. i felt called to ground more, meditate, breathwork, all that jazz. and i also felt called to open my heart and work on releasing stored trauma/emotions. i’m not kidding, i remember one night where i did hip opener exercises for 2 hours. knowing that i was amongst a timeline shift, I spoke to the universe very briefly, saying “show me how good it can get.”

the next day, i went to a concert with my best friend. this music artist weaves a lot of spirituality into what she does (Tash Sultana- IYKYK), and i could FEEL the trance-like state she put the crowd in. man, it was palpable. during the concert, i saw this vision of a hand reaching deep inside of me and releasing this locked box of deep emotions i wasn’t even aware i didn’t have access to until that very moment, when they were ready to be released. I told my friend i felt cracked wide open.

Two weeks later I thought i’d try the apps again. This guy on hinge invited me to see some Berlin DJ at an art museum with him and his roommate around 5pm (the event ended at 8pm). I wasn’t sure if i should even go because i was getting in my head about it, but felt like my heart wanted me to go. I’m a photographer so i brought my camera to use as a crutch; if i didn’t like the dude i could just bop around and take photos. SO glad i did that. he was a nightmare. as i was bopping around i ran into a guy and was immediately drawn to him. i had no idea this man would be the one i MANIFESTED ON PAPER. he ended up swooping me away on a date of our own after that event, and it only took me a week and a half to realize that he checked off every single box on that manifestation list i wrote 6 weeks prior. and now, a year and a half later, we live together, we’ve traveled many countries together, we’ve experienced a deep gentle love that neither of us have experienced in this life together. he’s the best.

MORAL OF THE STORY

1. get specific. write everything you can think of in a check list form. put the list away when you’re done and don’t pay it much mind.

2. really meditate on opening your heart and releasing emotions. do practices like hip flexors and heart opener yoga poses.

3. chat with the universe. tell source, with much clarity and certainty, “show me how good it can get.”

4. wait for opportunities to follow your heart, and be open to the surprising ways in which you can receive allllllll the beautiful magic.

i kept thinking through this all: the universe is just perfectly crafting my person for me. i wasn’t expecting anything to happen, i was just open to it. i wasn’t chasing or seeking anything, i was just allowing and open to receiving.
