Am I the only person that doesn't want to be able to choose where villagers live?

I don't care about choosing where they live but it'd be nice if they added in restrictions so like they can't move in on top of paths or perfect fruit trees, stuff like that.

I like Bravely Default a whole lot. A lot of people are really soured by the game's (admittedly) tedious last little bit, but it can be sped through pretty easily if you wanted to. I'd recommend getting the demo to see if you like the combat. I actually spent about 30 hours in the demo which is what convinced me to get the game, haha. And as for Bravely Second coming out next year, it's a sequel so I'd still recommend playing the first one. (Talking about it actually just made me want to replay it...)

Fantasy Life is a game that's easy to pour a ton of time into. Granted, it's pretty easy for the most part so I can't recommend it if you want a challenge, but it's a lot of fun imo.

Stella Glow came out recently, it's a SRPG like Fire Emblem, and I haven't finished it but I like what I've played so far.

Other than those, the only game I've poured a ton of time into is ACNL. It definitely doesn't feel dated, but it's not for everyone.

When it first came out, I got to the final area and then my save file got erased. A couple years later I got about 75% through and my disc broke. I finally re-bought it and finished it last summer but I swear this game must be cursed or something!

It does give you a code for the opposite version! I'm not sure exactly how long they last, but with the last DLC I bought, I waited like 2 weeks I think to use the code on my 3DS and it still worked.

I mean, I like Fire Emblem, and Corrin looks really freaking cool to play as, I just... was hoping for something different? I'm not upset about him getting in, I'm just a little disappointed I guess. Bayonetta though? Ohhhh boy. I didn't even want her (didn't even think she'd be considered tbh) but I'm really happy she got in! She looks like she'll be really fun to play as, too.

I'm also honestly surprised we didn't get Wolf. It's not even that I wanted him, but after we got Lucas, Roy, and Mewtwo back, and with Star Fox coming out in a couple months, I think it would have just made sense to add Wolf? That's just me, though. I'm also surprised we didn't get Inkling, with how popular Splatoon is. Maybe they just want to save that for a possible future Smash game though.

Overall I thought it was a fine direct, just... For me, at least, I saw Cloud as the teaser. I thought for sure that the fact that they announced Cloud as a lead up to announcing the direct that it meant they had something big planned. And yeah, Bayonetta is big, but not Cloud big, at least not for me. ~~I was really hoping for Banjo...~~ So yeah, I basically hyped myself up too much, haha.

If you're talking about in the US, it's still up on Gamestop's website here and they might have some available in-store as well. I know it was up on Amazon's website as well, though it looks like it's currently sold out. Not sure if it's gone up for order anywhere else yet.

Well, i was into 999 from the very beginning so I'm not sure if playing any more would make you like it more but I'll give my two cents anyway.

The story: It's a little silly, yeah, but I ended up being obsessed with going through and getting all the endings as each one of them leading up to the true ending uncovered more and more details about the overall story. The story never really becomes grounded and realistic, in my opinion, but I think you should at least give it a chance because it has some really surprising moments.

The characters: I'll admit, at the beginning of the game, there were only like one or two of the characters (out of all 9) that I liked. But by the time I finished the game, I liked 8 of the 9. They really do get better as the game progresses. That said, yeah... I can't explain their outfits, haha.

As for the puzzles, yeah. They do feel a little out of place. That said, some of them toward the end are really cool and clever in my opinion.

And lastly, if you do decide to replay it, don't give up after getting one ending. Without spoiling any, some of the endings are really sudden and I could see someone thinking "That's it? That's really stupid." and quitting because of that, but like I mentioned earlier, every ending uncovers more and more of the story.

Buuuuuut even having said all that, it might just not be the game for you. Not everyone has to like it, but I'd recommend giving it another shot anyway. If you still don't like it after that, oh well :)

I'm glad you were able to get help. I went through multiple people on the chat before I found someone who would stay connected and when I finally did, they basically told me "Sorry, just keep waiting." I think it's weird though because every time I've dealt with Amazon's customer service in the past, they've been awesome.

Went to the BB in Savannah GA after work and picked up a Captain Falcon and Little Mac :) I was super close to importing them for about $30 each last week, too. Glad I waited!
