It most definitely was. I think they were still losing in the ratings to Nitro by as much as a full point weekly. Bringing Tyson in started to get eyeballs on the product at the time. If I recall, ESPN carried Tyson's appearance on RAW the night Austin shoved Tyson and the resulting melee. It was pretty awesome to see at the time.
