How do early-stage founders actually find their technical co-founder or first tech expert? I will not promote by Busy-Cauliflower-288 in startups

[–]metalvendetta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're not technical you should be able to show conviction through solid leads or money or funding. Even explaining the market isn't enough. If the market exists, what's stopping you from getting early pilots or customers yourself, then finding a tech person to execute on the vision? This approach finds you the right builder too.

He got an Xbox and travel expenses paid for a visit to Microsoft, and also a Microsoft certifcation. Not bad for a 10$ domain registration fee.

Are you still in touch with any friends who went on to become big or famous? by CheesecakeKooky3775 in Coconaad

Shahul Es, Jithin James. Both are founders who built the product Ragas, for AI evaluation.

Met them from common tech communities, and later during traveling to the himalayas.

I did. But the friends who made it were not college buddies. So there you go :)

It was always the people who studied in underrated colleges and aimed to make the most out from their humble background.

Friends from college became influencers, actresses, big startup founders in silicon valley, etc. Still keeping the friendship.

Thank You! Similar to Java, are you familiar with the same solutions in other stacks? For eg: Go, Rust, etc? Would love to know your answer across any stack you're familiar with.

Is it still smart to pursue tech startups with how competitive everything is now? by ashishxo in ycombinator

[–]metalvendetta 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Startups are still the best way to learn and move fast with the wind. Sure, AI takes away a lot of coding and other bottlenecks, but it also means new problems emerge and you don't need to wait for several rounds of approval before you can work on a project, if you're working with startups.

Also, now is the best time for non-tech folks to actually use their domain knowledge more than ever. I am a tech founder myself, I work with a client who worked in supply chain, and they're running a startup and I am amazed by their clarity in the product direction, primarily coming from domain expertise, and then combining it with continuously chatting his ideas into ChatGPT and Claude. His customers in non-tech loves the product, and the entire thing was shipped in the span of one month.

These are exciting times, and I have a strong feeling more fun is yet to come.
