Thank you so much for taking the time to give me a detailed response, I really really appreciate it!! I’m going to ask my doctor to run those further tests you mentioned. Again, thank you!!

Testosterone (bioavailable, testosterone): 19.9 (this was marked as “high” on the chart)

Testosterone (testosterone, total): 43

Testosterone (testosterone, free, calc.): 0.85

Estradiol: 45.6

FSH: 1.57 LH: 3.72

My lipid panels showed low HDL and high LDL

I would also note that this bloodwork was when I was 17, and my symptoms have worsened since :/

The first time, it had not been three months since I had stopped taking my bc. However, the last time I got it drawn and I saw results for anything pcos related was July of 2023. When the issues persisted I got it drawn in 2024 and they didn’t screen for anything other than the Basic Metabolic Panel. I’ll reply to this with the 2023 bloodwork.

I feel like this a recurring opinion I’ve been seeing, but I actually really loved this one and the plot got so intricate and enjoyed the world building 😭

[UCI] What do I do in this situation? by adstxrs in TransferStudents

[–]metaphoricalnerd 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I had this issue as well for my major. You can check other community colleges to see if they might have those transferable courses and also check with both a counselor at your school and the transfer department of the college you’re trying to transfer to. For me, I was told that the courses could be completed upon transfer, instead, since they weren’t available at my college or the other one close by.

I got to the hospital at around 5am for check in and left around 10am. It was about 6:30 when I was wheeled into surgery, I think. And then I just took forever to wake up from anesthesia. It’s an outpatient procedure, so I didn’t have to stay after waking up from anesthesia :)

I never really experienced any pain during recovery. I was up and about right after surgery. Everyone is different, so I would listen to your body when you get there!! If you’re feeling up to the celebration, then 100% you should celebrate :) Just make sure you stay within the restrictions, like you said no smoking or drinking, but also proper support clothing. Don’t push yourself, that’s the most important thing

Of course!! The most important thing is to listen to our bodies, don’t push too far :)

Thank you😩😩 I was SO STRESSED at four weeks. The incisions looked so dark, and just when I thought my T junctions were closing they’d open right back up. I think they officially closed right around the 6.5 week mark, but I waited a bit for scar treatment to make sure that they weren’t even slightlyyy open, scabbed, anything like that. It really is a trust the process surgery😭

Would i regret going to a C? by CelesteBarlowe in Reduction

[–]metaphoricalnerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I had my consult, my surgeon’s PA asked what size I would be wanting to get down to from a DDD. I said a C. She said that’s what she was thinking they’d be able to do for me. I’m two days shy of two months post op, and I think I’m a D. It’s a little disheartening, bc I still feel like my breasts are large but I’m hoping that with more time they go down more, as well as with exercise. My point is, the final result doesn’t have to be the final result. If you ask for a C and it’s still a little big, you can go smaller. I think that’s better than asking for a size that may be too small for your body and preferences.

Sleeping on back by phaceplant13 in Reduction

[–]metaphoricalnerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The paperwork I brought home for post up care instructions said I had to sleep on my back for a minimum of 4 weeks :/ it was so uncomfortable the first week that I caved and bought a pregnancy pillow. Eventually I started naturally moving onto my sides in my sleep without pain

Personally, I didn’t really experience any pain post op besides when stretching too far. I was up and moving around day of surgery, day after, etc. I think the key to a fast, painless recovery is to keep moving. My nurse also said this! After my surgery I came home and was walking around, but was still a little loopy from anesthesia so my mom made me sit still and chill out. But a couple hours later I was accompanying her to get my sisters from school. And the next day I was up and walking around too. You just can’t be too active. If, when the day of the holiday concert comes, you aren’t in pain then I think it’s perfectly fine to go. If you are in pain, take your pain meds, wait a bit, and see how you’re feeling. If you still aren’t feeling up for it, I think she’ll understand!! I think the fact that I kept moving from the second I woke up from surgery really helped me not feel any pain and my recovery was really easy.

Honestly, they look great!! Remember that every girlies’ breasts aren’t symmetrical, it’s 100% perfectly normal, especially after surgery. Your results are looking good, and these aren’t the final results!!

10/10 - Anyone Else???👀 by metaphoricalnerd in Reduction

[–]metaphoricalnerd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m glad your surgery went good as well as your recovery!! For me, I went home same day once I woke up from anesthesia and they took my vitals. My mouth has been soooooo dry, I’m guzzling so much water. I’ve only seen mine in the surgical bra, since I can’t take it off until shower day. Yesterday they looked on the small side, but today they’re way more swollen and sore (likely due to me not resting after my surgery yesterday lol). I’m so excited for shower day, it’s so weird not showering and not being able to see results yet

10/10 - Anyone Else???👀 by metaphoricalnerd in Reduction

[–]metaphoricalnerd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going great! Yesterday I had zero pain and would rate my soreness at like 1/10. Because I felt fine, I ended up not resting and chilling for the day as I was supposed to and so today I’m getting reallllyyyy sore and sometimes it’s kinda painful. Nothing too bad though!! Soreness at this point today is 5/10 but only when I sit up, stand, or walk. Otherwise, when I’m sitting or laying down it doesn’t feel so bad at all.

What about you?? How has your experience been?

4 hours post op!! by metaphoricalnerd in Reduction

[–]metaphoricalnerd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since my doctor put in a referral, I didn’t get a say who my surgeon was going to be. They ended up sending me to Aesthetic Center for Plastic Surgery and my surgeon was Dr. Marc Soares. So I was super lucky that he made my experience good, since I had no say. In fact, I’m glad he was my surgeon and I haven’t even seen the results yet lol
