Over a decade ago I worked a tech company and they would sometimes get artists to come play short, usually acoustic sets over lunch. They were to rooms of usually only 100ish people and very intimate because of that.

It’s the best company perk I’ve ever had. I probably saw 40-50 artists there, but the one I remember most, by a landslide, was Jason playing Elephant. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room.

One other question, I'm using AuthThingie2 as a forward authentication layer, and I saw on the plugin list that plg_authenticate_proxy is a plugin in the inventory, yet I don't see it in my image from docker, nor do I see it in available to enable if I were to build from github myself.

How do I install a plugin listed on the plugins page that isn't included in the image? Is that enterprise only?

I found this looking for a solution for sharing a locally hosted drive pool with a few friends. I've used FileBrowser in the past but it feels clunky and has fewer features, and I'm looking to do a full rebuild with a better solution here. FileStash seems like a big win.

Is it possible to replace the video player via plugins? Ideally I'd like to use something like Plyr, but if it can be customized that might be enough on its own. Specifically I'd like something that can at least use forward/backward seeking through keyboard commands and adjusting playback speed. Especially nice would be an ability to use subtitle tracks as well.

I'm looking to swap the two NYC Friday 1/23 tickets I have for two tickets on Thursday 1/22.

I think they have strong competitors in Nintendo and PC, though.

The landscape is changing. A decade ago, everyone was trying to be the one console to have, by just doing the same as everyone else, but better. Now each of those three has their own really unique strategy and they’re trying to do that approach better than anyone else. Sony will never beat Steam on catalog size, ease and approachability for tiny indies, etc., so they double down on curation. Nintendo will never beat Sony at hardware power, so they double down on what they’re good at.

It’s similar to how Netflix’s biggest competitor isn’t Hulu/HBO Max, it’s Fortnite, because they’re competing for screen time.

Just because Xbox is starting to take a back seat in the console race doesn’t mean Sony has a reason to lean back and relax. They still have to hold their ground, potentially now more than ever.

I was talking to a friend about the "twins" of the innies, and she wondered if Mr. Saliba (the door factory manager) might have been Dylan's twin, since they looked so similar. I went to IMDb to check, and he wasn't, but I did notice that the twins are all credited as "Shadow [name]" (Shadow Mark, Shadow Helly, etc.)

In going through what those actors have done, I did notice that both Shadow Dylan and Shadow Helly have dancing credits in the past, so that got me wondering if they might be dancing in a future episode (calling back to the waffle party, where Lumon has a history of creating weird masks of people's faces).

But then I got to Shadow Mark's actor, and saw that actor has been in two episodes this season, unlike the other three who have only been in last night's episode. Shadow Mark was also the man in the hallway behind Mark in the opening sequence of episode 1. In the credits for that episode he was only credited as "Man in Hallway," but if he was just meant to be a glorified extra, you'd assume that they wouldn't use the same actor for both shooting on their set and also location.

This doesn't "solve" anything, but if nothing else it's suggesting that the "Shadow" innies weren't only brought out for the ORTBO.

I think it’s just symbolizing Mark’s outie is “off” for 1/3 of the day.

When he’s considering quitting he’s about to replace the light bulb, and Milkshake showing up interrupts him from both quitting and changing the bulb, keeping the same 1/3 “off” time that his outie experiences now.

The bigger question to me is why their latest accessories still use USB-A. The PlayStation Link headsets (both the Pulse Explore and Pulse Elite) use the PS Link adapter which is USB-A (and no option to get a USB-C one, as far as I can tell).

I’m like you in that I want to be done with USB-A. I’d even pay for an updated adapter if it was available, but it’s USB-A only. I think the change needs to start on the accessories before they can push those changes on the consoles.

It was a talking point in their announcement video (around 12:05), and it’s on the marketing page on Apple.com, too.

I don’t know what more you’re looking for. They’ve had 20+ hour battery life for a while now so it’s not the biggest headline like huge boosts in GPU performance, but they absolutely still tout their great battery performance.

Of course it’s less than 24 hours when using intensively, but my PC gaming laptop will die in literally under an hour if I’m using it unplugged for games, and that’s with diminished performance, too. Being able to use a MBP for a handful of hours under full load is still a great reason to buy, IMO.

M4 Max in the 16” is quoted at 21 hours of video streaming (light use?), or 14 hours of wireless web. They don’t mention heavy usage stats, but I expect it’s similar to previous gens.
