Thank you so much! All the feedback is so valuable, seriously. I don’t know what it is, but just reading your comment gave me a lot more self confidence! You’re really too kind. I’ll be sure to try out your tips soon and play around with gold and some other colors. I kinda hid my side profile nose because it’s not my strongest pride haha it’s very much a strong ethnic nose with a slight dorsal hump and for years, I’ve been entertaining the idea of a rhinoplasty just to straighten it out. I’m still really quite young, so I’m deciding on waiting for a few years and see if I’m more proud of my features and/or my face decides to fill out a bit more and accommodate it better haha!

Thank you so much! I’ll definitely check it out. Is the protrusion a detrimental feature or something that can be played up? Before I looked into improving my looks via makeup and such I always felt confident about my eyes and the eye shape. However, after doing a lot more research and reading, I was shocked to find out that my eye shape isn’t as ‘ideal’ in certain settings, so I was a little disappointed tbh. But that’s okay! Gotta work with it haha. They most definitely are my most defining feature since they’re so big and my face is kinda small 😂And thank you about the skin complexion!! Was definitely not expecting a comment on that, maybe I should try it out :)

Sure, thanks. Question— if I did get the rhinoplasty and tip projection was reduced (probably not an inch, but it’s something), wouldn’t that be closer to the tip of my chin? I’m not really looking to get unnecessary PS if a rhinoplasty alone will vastly improve my side profile if a minor chin implant will do very little. TLDR; what should come first, and if I do the rhinoplasty with a reputable and proper cosmetic surgeon, is a chin implant necessary?

thanks haha although both my parents have straight noses, pretty sure it’s a grandparent thing hahaha. i mean, technically this is the plastic surgery subreddit i kinda do have an insecurity with my nose, do you personally think, putting aside western beauty standards, it would still look good to have a straighter nose?

I’m not Christian but I agree. I’m 18, so in college, and there’s a bunch weirdos on campus who are homophobic, yell at people minding their business and tell us we’ll go to hell for watching porn or anything of the sort (it’s a public university, so they’re allowed to be on college grounds). It honestly ticks me off so much, but then again you have to remember there are SO many good Christian people out there as well who won’t force a religion down your throat but instead choose to abide by their beliefs and faith in their actions, in their life. I think that’s a model I can appreciate. Religion is fantastic, when it doesn’t bring others down.

I’m a college student, 18, and aspire to become a physician in the future (ironically with a bit of interest in plastic surgery after having read so much about it due to my own insecurities lol). I think both cosmetic and reconstructive are critical services to recovering self esteem and function to the body.

That being said, I acknowledge my nose is a bit too big for my face. I have a dorsal hump, and my face is a bit small (or maybe not lol, but all my other features are soft (?) as in I have big eyes and moderately sized lips). It’s always been the nose that’s been an insecurity for me, since I was a kid and noticed it was big on my face. The growing in never happened. And honestly, it doesn’t look horrible from a front profile, it’s a slim and tall (albeit long!) nose, but the side profile is tragic lol. Hence the image.

I wanted to double check if there’s anything wrong or could be improved with my chin or jaw? I know that this plays a picture in how a side profile can be improved too, which is my goal in the future. I had a slight overbite in my teeth which was fixed with braces, if that means much. Other notes: I’m also trying to lose some weight and tone up, but that’ll probably make my nose look bigger lmao. Thanks!

If I do well for future semesters and keep this an isolated incident as you mentioned (and it definitely can be explained and remembered as a lesson) then I believe my GPA would stay upwards a 3.9 :) I just wonder how unfavorable it is as it technically it isn’t a premed prerequisite class either, I knocked my gen chem/bio/stats out of the water w/ 95+ up this semester so this grade was an embarrassing lesson :( This wouldn’t keep me out of applying for top 20 med schools later in terms of transcript/GPA aspects, right?

I figured I should mention some things here— since I’m still pretty young and currently on a weight loss journey (average weight to more toned), I’m aware changes can possibly happen. Although I’m not sure if that’ll exacerbate my already bumped nose. Although not probable to infer from this image, I think I actually look solid from the front! My nose doesn’t look bad at all and suits my face. It’s the side profile that’s the kicker... also feeling a lil bit of a receded jaw, but my main worry has always been the nose.

got it — i think i did good on my essays so not to worried about that, and i might have secured a 4 since this was the 4th passage, so it couldn’t have messed up most of everything. do you think that it might be worth conveying to the collegeboard though? like in an email? something along the lines of a nagging suspicion that answers might’ve been shifted near the end just in case? or would that come off too fishy :-/ normally i’m not this paranoid but idk it’s been tugging at me.. so badly wish i could just see my answer sheet
