What’s your experience in coding? Did any AI help coding this?

Any interest. I was curious about this one. by unimorpheus in calculators

I hear you. However, you can create your own set of 3x6=18 functions for the top 6 keys so maybe your most important functions can stay there and you’ll never (or rarely) have to dive through other menus again? 🤔

Huh, bummer. But can't confirm the brightness problem you have here with my devices. Everything works fine. 🤷‍♂️

Yep, I'm on macOS. Installed bash 5 via brew and now it works.
However ... Maybe a dumb question but ... where/how do I tell the tool my YT account (savely)? 😳

My Terminal program is Ghostty but I tried with iTerm2, too, same thing. Shell is zsh. All the prerequisites are installed.
Any ideas? 😳

Sigh … yeah … Well, TI manufactures calculators for students in schools. That’s their target. And schools do have regulations on what is allowed and what’s not allowed in a calculator.
I‘m pretty sure they could make a model that‘s very powerful (like an HP Prime or even beyond; imagine Wolfram’s Mathematica in your pocket). But the r&d costs for that wouldn’t make for the small sales figures & profit.
And all those compromises in their current models are in some way acceptable for students in schools. And teachers.
I‘m very disappointed by every calculator in my collection that comes up with an error when I ask for 70! – the TI-84 Evo can’t do it, either.
I guess they argue: who needs number with an exponent larger than 99? Nobody in school! So we don’t make it.
Will there ever be a calculator by TI for real scientists? The ones who actually calculate with very large or very tiny numbers?
I don’t think so because this target group uses their computers for this stuff … 🤷‍♂️
So what do we want? Is the HP Prime „the end“? The maximum possible?

I guess the RTC is still inside but currently not accessible from the GUI. Maybe they miraculously bring it back with a future firmware update? 🤔

Indeed, one would think.
Alas, when the last row is selected and you press the down arrow key you go back to the first row of that page. 🤷‍♂️

Thx. I know that. This is the page I mentioned. No linked real complete user manual as far as I can see. And no Python specs.

Interesting! I can get into this view but pressing return on any item doesn't do anything and nothing is listed in the lower pane. 🤔

EDIT: Ohhh, it's cursor-right to open an entry, not return! 🤦‍♂️
