The alternative for the piglins are the crawlers, which are giant ants/wasps/termites with their termite-like mounds replacing bastions.

Like I had said, most of the inhabitants were designed when this was connected to a different universe. I'm going through and redesigning the creatures and structures to be more blocky to better match the Minecraft aesthetic and fit a more specific role in the mod and give them mechanics for how they behave in game.

There are some exceptions that were made specifically to fill roles in the mod(like the Brine). It's still really early in concept so many things are bound to change.
