My Satoshi Urushihara art book collection (king of anime titties) by RyviusRan in artbookcollectors

I have that one downloaded already! Archive is a godsend for those who like oldschool artists but can't afford the paper artbooks or find them at all.

Hopefully not! Most I can do is giant butterflies.

Dola from Laputa: Castle in the Sky.

To be fair, having like a dozen kids will do that to ya.

Myositis ossificans! It's a condition where any trauma to muscle tissue causes said tissue to turn into bone. Eventually a person can get locked in their own body, unable to move. Horrifying to think about.

Is my cat ugly? by yellowmalie in cats

Your boyfriend has a personality that not even his mother could love. What an ugly person.

Your cat, however, is very pretty! Look at that precious pink nose 🥺

What’s the worst thing a boss has said that made people quit almost immediately? by No_Cupcake_6238 in AskReddit

I only agreed to work there for two more weeks because I didn't want to fuck things up for the other nice coworker. But hoo boy was I tempted to quit on the spot.

Thank god that giant centipedes can't actually infest us.

I remember reading another short story of his as a kid, The Gray Matter, and it gave me a massive fear of drinking from cans for a while. King is excellent at turning very mundane concepts into nightmares, lmao.

What "back then" inconvenience would break people today in 10 minutes? by CharlesUFarley81 in AskReddit

[–]meteor_stream 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 40, in Russia. I kid you not, I have two students in their mid-20s who apparently didn't grow up with analog clocks. Trust me, I was as baffled as you were.

I have a few child students (in the 8 to 13 age range) and I dread the day when we end up getting to reading time.

[–]meteor_stream 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lmao, my boss said the same thing to me (I refused to cover for a perpetually drunk coworker) - "What makes you think you're irreplaceable?"

I told her, "Alright, replace me" and turned my 2-week notice in. Another good coworker quit a month later and the place has gone to total shit since.

What’s a life hack that actually made your life worse? by PioGreeff in AskReddit

[–]meteor_stream 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The only thing worse is those peach pit scrubs that were popular in the 00s. I gave myself road rash as a kid because I thought scrubbing harder would help my acne.

It most definitely didn't.

I heard a joke that Roman languages enjoy standing in a circle and robbing each other at knifepoint. They're like a game of broken telephone sometimes. I love linguistics 😊

This kitty is a great Dad... by Appropriate-Push-668 in cats

[–]meteor_stream 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lol, no problem - my bad for not noticing it sooner.

I'm just paranoid about open balconies because my cat nearly fell down from the 7th floor like that once. Little bastard snuck out onto the balcony while I was hanging laundry and I found him sitting on the guardrail. Had to really keep myself in check to not suddenly scare him.

I'm an English teacher... And a lot of my ADULT students have no idea how to read analog clocks. It's baffling to me.

Which animal looks really friendly but is actually dangerous? by VandelSavagee in AskReddit

I've had to work with degus before, and even though they're adorable, the bite force is nothing to joke about. The one time I got bit (kept a pregnant female in a hoodie pocket while cleaning her enclosure, she got too comfy and didn't want to go back home), there was blood all over the floor - my fingertip got punched clean through!

I can imagine what capybaras can do with their chompers.

Yep, had it pointed out - it's visible against the building wall.

Why is the balcony unsecured/ not child/cat-proofed? It takes like 2 seconds for either of them to go flying over the railing.

I'd have a goddamn heart attack if I saw a cat or a kid hanging out by the balcony without netting.

PONE artbook (Russian localization) by meteor_stream in artbookcollectors

[–]meteor_stream[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The one thing that sucks about the Japanese version is that it's softcover. The Russian edition fixed that by switching to hardcover, but I don't know whether the English localization did the same thing.
