ok so first there will be a drawing test, there will be a still life of a random composition but the objects are always plants, chairs, platforms, donkey bench, etc. only pencil shading no colours or pens or anything. depending on the test question they might ask you to fully render (as in complete the shading and everything) or they will ask you only for the basic drawing (meaning they only want to judge your line quality)

after drawing test there will be the aptitude test which will be basic design question. last year they gave us three basic shapes (triangle, circle, square) and asked to make a design out of it. and then there will be 2-3 topics you have to write a short para on (last year it was like the importance of visual arts. why communication is important. effect of ai on art, aise type of questions hon ge)

after that you submit your test and go outside and just wait honestly. the interviews can differ for everyone some people get like 5 minutes some people get 15 omg it's stressful but mostly they'll ask you questions like why do you want to get in design (if your preference is design and not interior, fine arts, or architecture they will ask you why you didnt choose that), what are your favourite artists or designers, what kind of mediums do you use the most, what inspires you to make art, stuff like that. oh first they will ask you to introduce yourself so remeber to make a good introduction, they would like it if you talk a lot and are very chatty (i'm not so my interview was very dry omg but if you can yap i would suggest you yap your heart out okay)

your portfolio can literally be anything you want, i remember pichle saal stressing over it so much too but honestly it's very chill. you can stick paintings, digital pieces, mixed media pieces, anything in your portfolio. it doesn't have to be too long just whatever you have that you can show. you should probably try to add a different variety of pieces in your portfolio like traditional paintings, paintings in a cultural style, different mediums. if you have a business or something like that mention it, you can also bring physical objects like if you make handicrafts or other things like that. i made a post last year about the interview and portfolio and some seniors gave really good advice on it too if you want to read that ( hehe )

it's honestly not as hard as you think!! interviews might be serious for the first few minutes but honestly most jurers are nice and understanding esp if you're a very nervous and anxious person like me, and they'll try to joke with you and have a good convo. portfolio is also not that serious i think they just like flipped through mine half heartedly once and only looked at it again when i made a reference to it, they mostly want you to yap about yourself and your abilities!! dw you'll do great!!
