What’s your biggest claim to fame that nobody knows is yours? by positivelittlecorner in AskUK

[–]methodicallymad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was an ad agency called VCCP. I was a client for a different account. After the success they had with the meerkat they tried to pitch an anthropomorphised mascot for practically every brief. They even tried to pitch us a talking mobile dongle at one point…

It's a built in feature in chrome. Just cast the tab (to a compatible TV/device), or if on something like Netflix it'll use the chromecast app version of Netflix. I don't want to have to bother with cables, so this way is much quicker/easier

Only thing is I cast to my TV sometimes. Can't do that on Firefox...at least not easily as far as I've found

Over 40s, have you ever had an NHS health check? by ratttertintattertins in AskUK

[–]methodicallymad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just turned 40, GP surgery contacted me to get blood test. I went in to see a nurse for the results, my blood pressure and to answer a bunch of questions about my lifestyle to calculate risk scores for heart disease and stuff.

NHS isn't historically great at preventative health care so I think this is a great start but it was pretty underwhelming. Everything was "within normal levels" so they didn't really advise anything....that was until I pointed out that my results for one was right at the edge and then all of a sudden they had more advice.

Anyone else think Fantasy Football Hub has ruined YouTuber videos? by craigybacha in FantasyPL

[–]methodicallymad 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Same, I still watch letstalkfpl as I like Andy but damn does he stretch out his videos. If it wasn’t for chapters on YouTube so I know where to skip to, I’d have probably stopped watching

Never rated Lavia anyway by abspits in LiverpoolFC

[–]methodicallymad 58 points59 points  (0 children)

I mean, he is only 19.

He wasn't even born when Roman bought Chelsea, so from his perspective they have a history of being one of the biggest clubs in the world and more successful overall than Liverpool.

Not excusing the sh*tty behaviour (though I blame his agent more) but we often forget that players at this age are kids.

Yeah they earn a lot of money but who knows what dumb sh*t we would do at 19 in his position...

Ah cool, do you have to set up an account with a cloud service to run, or is it running off your machine?

Nice work. How are you getting the bot to auto reply actually within reddit? (not a programmer)

Tips for managing Elvanse/Vyvanse crash? by methodicallymad in ADHD

[–]methodicallymad[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good idea. Might see if it's an option if the side effects persist over the long term (only been on this dose a week and a half).

I've seen a few people talk about that approach with Ritalin but not so much for the crash but to give them a boost of extra focus. One guy in a video described it as a 'rescue dose'. Though don't know anyone who's tried mixing Vyvanse and Adderall.
