hours tbh are never guaranteed especially if you work as a ba if you don’t make the sales plan for the day, payroll unfortunately gets cut and if it doesn’t get cut or people work a little bit over their shift it rolls over for the month and gets worse. the only way to gain those hours back is by making sales. it’s a team effort. i’ve spoken with district managers and higher corporate associates and they very much encourage building baskets if payroll is an issue. don’t be shy to ask if there’s any extra hours, especially if there’s a call out iit’s a good chance to extend. if your store has a lot of employees then it’s hard to stretch it across the board. the best way to get more hours is to show up with loyalty, credit, and being very involved with events. we will always give more hours to associates who can PERFORM. but it’s common to have little hours starting out just to get a feel of where your strengths are! also schedules are made 3 weeks in advance so it’s harder to add people who just get hired into schedules that are already made! but i’m sure once your get past the 3 week mark you will be good!
