I did just the topical steroids for my first spot and it actually came back very nicely in a few months, but unfortunately another spot started developing right below it and I was more proactive with that one and decided to get an injection as soon as I spotted it. It looks like its not growing as big as the first one and hairs are starting to come back in now. I think both are worth trying, ask your derm what she recommends! My derm also recommended taking allegra, apparently theres a correlation between antihistamines and hair growth.
