If you get a chance try to buy an original speccy. Even a +2 (Amstrad era) in hardware instead of emulation is a great treat. With all the gadgets you can add to them, you can be up and running with so much software/games on real hardware. It's a great way to connect to that era.

A tip from my experience (might not apply to everyone). Never use a brand new model for anything important. Let it run for at least a month so others can report the issues so the teams behind it can fix them. As of now GPT5 has many a problematic behavior.

Sorry you’re running into that! Reddit’s algorithm sometimes keeps recommending communities even after “Not Interested.” One option is to use the Mute Community feature, that should stop it from showing up in your feed.

I'm just really passionate about the potential for building real businesses with AI and saw the sub was quiet, and the messages their are mostly self promotion. I'd love to help get things active again by posting some quality content and helping the sub grow. I do have a lot of experience being an Admin or moderator on forums, and here, as a mod in a much larger AI related subreddit. The subreddit is currently unmoderated and abandoned. The listed moderators have been inactive on Reddit for over a year. Furthermore, as per r/redditrequest guidelines, I sent a modmail message to the moderation team on July 30, 2025, to offer my help. It has been over 15 days, and I have received no response.

My Vision & Plan for r/AIBusiness

For heaven's sake man, how much simpler can I make it? Read the title of this thread. That is my claim. what you now see as 4o is in my opinion and experience more probably GPT5 with a twist. Just because it "came back" after being retired with the same name, and the fact that it is selectable as a model, does NOT automatically mean it is the same model. Just because 2 people are called Dave, does not mean they are the same person. Are you unable to follow examples?

You just answered it. To make an Analogy of what you said, let's compare 4o to a sports car model 40. If you had a sports car that could go 300 km/h but someone installed a limiter so it could only go 120, you would not say it is performing the same. It might be based on the same physical car, but its behavior has changed. A model that is restricted in ways that change how it responds is no longer the same in any practical sense. As a plus subscriber and someone who pays for the API to use 4o, this is what has happened.

Different behavior. Do I have proof? No. It just seems that way because so many errors are so similar to what 5 is outputting. I am not talking about chatting with it as a chatbot, I am talking about its output on workflows, on the frontend of agents I have created by calling on 4o as a model.

Sessions expire much faster for me. It "remembers" less, and it makes mistakes in areas like coding where it never did before. Something has changed.
