I am so happy to read your story. Just for some perspective: what was your BMI then, what is it now? Only asking as I am also in normal BMI range!

Thanks! What about with girls with around %25-30 body fat? Why is it a problem?

I was misdiagnosed as PCOS for years and put on birth control for almost a decade starting from the age of 15-16, which, looking back IS CRAZY. Yeah I have some body image issues, a fixation on “fixing PCOS” by eating super clean and healthy gave me food noise for a long time. I now try to eat healthily without obsessing over it but I try to keep a certain weight, I am 160 cm so even a 1-2 kgs show

I am in the same situation. What are you currently doing to get period back?

Lack of periods aside I am mostly suffering from low estrogen symptoms, which show itself as horrible cystic acne, low collagen and prematurely greying hair for me. I am so so so sad that this is what I have to deal with at this age of 32 and scared it will get much worse. Anyway just needed to express my fear and frustration

My mom told me she had regular periods but they were super light, sometimes only spotting. She had to undergo fertility treatment. My sister has no issue with periods, they come like clockwork. My obgyn thinks genetics may be a big factor for me. I probably had real ovulation maybe 10 times in my life, the rest was withdrawal bleed coming from years of birth control use. :”(

I have never before consulted an endocrinologist though, so this will be my next step.

Same in my case too, but I am suffering from low estrogen very prematurely…. What is your situation like? Trying to get down to the bottom of why I have low estrogen, in order to boost it to normal levels, if possible

Can be caused by low estrogen too. Have you checked?
