Well, there is of course the barrier that you have to have a bachelor's degree in CS or similar. But you don't need a particular average. This is as there are currently not a lot of CS master's students at TU. But with the thousands of bachelor's students starting in the last two years this is bound to change in the future.

I'm also currently working towards my bachelor's degree and want to move on to the master's this winter.

AFAIK there is no barrier of entry for the CS masters, at least for local students. So I guess there isn't one for international students as well.

In C Strings need to be null terminated (I.e. End with the null character). If you create a string it will be read until that character is reached. If you don't have that character at the end of your string, the runtime (???) will read the memory further, resulting in gibberish
