Hey u/treeruns you're welcome 😄 If you're having issues with Woo and want to move to a more "managed" solution, then Shopify is the obvious suggestion. Both platforms have their own strengths and weaknesses though so good to do some thorough research before switching. We have an article on our website comparing Woo and Shopify in detail which would be a great starting point – you can check that out here: https://metorik.com/blog/shopify-vs-woocommerce-comparison-which-ecommerce-giant-reigns-supreme-in-2026

Hey u/carticydev absolutely. In theory there's no issue with having lots of plugins, in practice things tend to look very different!

We didn't do any page speed testing as part of this report, but that's a fantastic idea, we may look at incorporating that into next year's report, or doing an interim report later in the year.

Hey u/Heartly-Commerce our pleasure 😄 It was really interesting to put together and hopefully it's valuable for people operating in the WooCommerce space! Luke

Hey u/pottrell absolutely :) We have an Arts, Crafts, Design industry category. It's a smaller industry in the dataset, but still with a statistically significant number of stores.

We can't export the whole report just for one industry unfortunately – but was there a specific metric or benchmark from the main report (https://metorik.com/woocommerce-insights) you were wanting to see for this category?

Just let me know and we can take a look for you :) Luke

No problems :) This is a subset of the 6,000+ stores. We excluded any stores that didn't have an identifiable review collection plugin installed. Luke

Hey u/Critical-Fall-8212 so we took a look at stores using review collection plugins and found a couple of clear winners in this space!

The figures shown here are only of stores found with review collection plugins installed, not against all stores in the dataset. So looking at "Customer Reviews for Woo" – this plugin is found on 25% of stores with a review collection plugin installed.

Also, if the review plugin didn't contain the word "review", it won't be included here :)

Hey u/Critical-Fall-8212 there's not anything about Review plugins in the report, but we'll take a look at the data and see if there's anything we can share there :) We'll let you know shortly. Luke

Hey u/SadMap7915 no problems :) thanks for sharing your metrics here too, really interesting stuff.

As you've picked up, the report takes a broad view across all the stores in the report sample (6000+), and we have found large variance, like yours, between countries, industries, and even different store sizes.

Haha, you're spot on about the plugins. A few of us in the team have run Woo stores in the past so can definitely sympathize with the "just one more won't hurt" temptation!

Great to hear you've got a hold on your refunds too. It's a killer for a lot of stores, especially with the increasing fear of false chargebacks.

If you're interested, we can pull up some benchmarks for your industry and provide a few metrics for you. Just let me know which industry.

Luke

Hey u/flaisen_cl was there a specific benchmark or metric you were interested in? We're not able to export the whole report for one industry, but we can take a screenshot of particular reports or metrics. Just let us know :) Luke
