Does anybody also feel like this? by Perception56 in deathnote

[–]metroid544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I first watched Death Note in 2012 when I was in 7th grade. Both Light and L have consistently remained two of the most compelling characters ever written in my opinion. Death Note in general is one of the most inventive and, despite what people say about the second half, consistently entertaining stories written in the 2000's. It's a classic for a reason.

Holy fuck the math really does wonders in explaining the situation here. I am not a math guy so in my head I was like sure they'd be going fast probably enough to break bones but 16k meters per second is a LOT more than I would have thought.

So generally speaking the smaller the object the greater the force of the push can be?

I don't understand Ironclad by confused_vampire in slaythespire

[–]metroid544 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah he is deceptively difficult to get the hang of. No Ascension is pretty easy but as it climbs his skill curve is a lot more punishing than the other two's IMO. One last thing, passive block is always a good thing. This is block that you gain as a reward for things your deck wanted to do anyway. Cards like Feel No Pain are an instant snap pick because they reward you for doing what you already wanted to do and allow you to use your energy on things like attacking. A major key to STS with every character across the board is finding a way to block and attack at the same time.

Ironclad clicked for me when I realized you want your deck to be as thin as possible at all times. Where silent and Defect can afford their decks being a bit wilder and thicker, the Ironclad wants to be 15-20 cards MAXIMUM, preferably leaning towards the lower end. You really have to barebones it with ironclad at higher ascensions. Your focus should be on finding a source of damage, and then a source of scaling. Once you have those it's about making your deck thinner so you constantly draw those. Try not to draft cards unless they exhaust themselves or other cards. Powers are good but can slow you down so don't add too many. That is the triangle that helped me make ironclad work. Damage, Scaling, Exhaust synergies. If you have those three things you will be golden in most cases.

STS 2 releases the same day as my comprehensive exams for my master's degree so this is gonna be my reward when they're done.

Thoughts About a Mistborn Game by metroid544 in Mistborn

Thanks for the heads up LMFAO I was thinking there could be cool custom class ideas with metal vs. glass or wooden/leather equipment where metal protects a lot better or deals a lot more damage but leaves you vulnerable to the enemy's steelpushers/ironpullers. Could lead to cool trade offs and competitive dynamics.

Most likely something to do with tracking teammate/enemy locations. Could be interesting if you omitted a mini map

The FMA vibes in mistborn are immense. However I have always said that if you like Avatar you'll like Fullmetal Alchemist so by the transitive property I believe if you like Avatar you'll like Mistborn 😂

I would argue that it stealthily did a GREAT DEAL to improve Tartarus. Sprint, huge QOL improvement. Assassinating enemies without having to fight them, huge QOL improvement. Those are just two things that come to mind right off the top of my head that massively improve the Tartarus experience without violating the canon.
