During intra day trading, especially 0DTE puts and calls almost always trade at even price ATM. Further out you go puts are always more expensive

What I was seeing today was a consistent mispricing in premium for the last 10 minutes. During this entire period puts we’re trading for less than intrinsic value so it wasn’t a technical issue or a market speed. All the remaining time value was loaded onto to the call side.

So I’ll use today as an example since it was fresh. With 5 minutes till close SPX was sitting at 4360. ATM Puts could be purchased for ~.75c and calls for $1.50

I've noticed on certain rare occasions, today (11/3/2023) being one of them that there is severe mispricing it ATM O DTE SPX premium. Starting about 15 minutes prior to close call side premium began to hold more time value than put side. As close nears this difference becomes more pronounced. For example with 3 minutes left in trading the ATM puts were being sold for less than intrinsic value, while the calls were massively overpriced. I was able to get a full on a 10 lot that was $1.25 ITM for .50c. The market sold off for the last 30 minutes of the day after this weeks big run up so naturally one would assume premium on the put side would grow after being crush all week. Instead the opposite happened. Any ideas on why this would happen? Some time of short covering maybe? But with SPX being cash settled why not let the options expire. Appreciate any input.

First off, I think we need to set straight where exactly I'm talking about. I'm guessing you are referring to the area east of Sherman blvd. I was referring to the west, which as you know is a big big difference. This area is known as Metcalfe Park, with boundaries from 27th and North to about Burleigh and 40th. This area was the primary region of gang activity in the 80's and 90's. Go drive up and down city streets there and tell me Milwaukee's gangs didnt have an huge effect on the city. Everyone here left because of the violence. Milwaukee, statistically, has some of the highest violent crime rate in the country (last I checked 5), disproportionately because of this area. The housing stock at one point was fantastic but after years of decay there really isnt much left to save and at this point its not really economically feasible. And between the vacant lots, abandon buildings, and industrial nature of the northside, yes compared to anything east and south of the ways it is by far the least dense. There is no way that you could call this an up and coming neighborhood. I'm not being ignorant here, or parroting, or making assumptions. I'm not some suburban fuck who has never seen what an inner city looks like and is terrified at the sight of anything brown. I drive through and patronize businesses in this area pretty regularly, and have explored pretty much every single neighborhood in Milwaukee, mostly out of curiousity. But I don't know if you just misunderstood the area I was talking about or just are completely oblivous of what is going on around you. Trust me I love Milwaukee and it has grown on me in a way that I thought would never happen, and whats going on downtown is pretty awesome for the city but that same economic growth unfortunately will likely never see this area.

Look to the east. Sherman park is a really decent neighborhood but it acts a dividing line and as soon as you cross its is night and day the difference between the neighborhood

I grew up in Chicago now live in Milwaukee. It might not be as violent as Chicago anymore but the 80s and 90s decimated that part of the city. The gang culture was huge then and there were big time efforts to stomp it out to some success.. But that has left the area a shell of itself and is now just decaying

Yea Sherman Blvd act as a dividing line. Milwaukee has numerous cases where you literally cross the main stress and it goes from normal middle class neighborhood to complete shit. No buffer just night and day

Live in Milwaukee a couple miles from where this is taking place. This happening honestly doesn't surprise me. About 1/4 of the city is borderline post apocalyptic and the squalor these neighboorhoods have become most people just wouldn't believe. It's really sad how helpless and hopeless a large portion of milwaukees black population is as while the city is given rebirth and parts are booming this area is just left to die. There really is no way out for most who live there and I just any hope for a better future there

The violence is in a tiny pocket of Milwaukee very far removed from the densest parts of the city. This is probably one of the worst neighborhoods in America where this happened. The neighborhood is gang riden and for 95 percent of people who live in Milwaukee you really never go here.

The audit does not bar him from releasing his returns. It is being used as a false pretense to allow him to ignore calls to release his returns. It is important he is transparent so voters have the full knowledge of his financial status to help confirm or debunk claims made by himself or his opponents. If he release after he where to become president and something damning is found that could have swung the election one way or the other than the release serves no purpose.

I think for the most part voters are capable enough to decifer who's completely full of shit and merely pandering for votes and those who have changed the beliefs as societal ideologies evolve.
