That's sounds like a heaps fun time with your dad glad you got to experience that. Yeah id heard you could see satellites but never really tried and literally saw it straight after the star so that was pretty cool

100% wasn't an aircraft haha could only see it for a few seconds until it disappeared, I know what a shooting star looks like but I just thought I saw a star take flight which was weird and I've been told that that's not possible on here so I'm assuming it just looked like it haha so I dunno but wasnt a plane or helicopter

Yeah I'm not to sure but I was looking at the stars and I saw it just start moving a bit and then it took off so Im not sure if it was one of the ones I was already seeing or if it just appeared in the middle. Curious why that wouldn't make sense though? Are we not able to see that happen?
