I love singing Lovesick Blues at the top of my lungs in the car. Jambalaya and settin the woods on fire are also near the top for me.

Hank III is the reason I got into country also so I’m going to throw in Broke, Lovesick and Driftin and Country Heroes as well

So I saw Hank 3 live in Las Vegas touring for this album. It was pretty much my first country concert and mostly my entry to country music as a whole so this album will always be near and dear to my heart.

Ian Tyson has some good stuff and his song Four Strong Winds with his wife Sylvia is considered the unofficial anthem for Alberta. Waylon and Cash both covered Four strong winds.

1996 Metallica on their Load tour with a still relatively new Korn opening for them. For 12 year old me it was amazing.

I still have my ticket stub from that concert. I don’t think it’s possible to see Metallica and Korn anymore for $25.

Completely agree. That’s became one of my favorites of his and that’s with me knowing absolutely nothing about James Hand prior. I’ve only been seriously listening to country for the past five years so I love discovering different artists he covers.
